Trouba lost his eyesight at a relatively young age due to an infection that just wouldn't go away. It was frightening for him at the time, to go from being able to see the beauty of the world around him to fuzzy outlines, then total darkness. Fortunately, though, he had a strong support system from the get-go. His mother was his eyes for the first few years of his life, leading him everywhere and keeping close watch of the young stud. As he got older, he was encouraged to explore more on his own, become more confident in his own abilities. So he did just that, or at least, attempted to. He tried making mental maps but often found himself getting turned around, and would call out for help until he was subsequently found and rescued. He tried leaving scent trails to follow to and from, which unfortunately upset several rival band stallions and nearly got him in a world of trouble.

It wasn't until he met a mare by the name of Wyvern, having accidentally ran into her while out on one of his excursions. Trouba was terribly embarrassed and fumbled over his words in an attempt to apologize to her, but the little mare was unbothered. She was quick to forgive him, having noticed his cloudy eyes right away. It didn't take long for the two to become acquainted, and Wyvern was happy to offer her assistance in being his eyesight. Ever since the two have been inseparable, going everywhere together. He is grateful to have met such an understanding and kind soul, and has happily joined her [chaotic] little herd she calls her family. It's been a whirlwind to get used to, but with Wyvern at his side, navigating the world doesn't seem like such a grand task anymore.

Prompt: Pluto was born being blind. When he was a foal his mother used to show him the ropes and where everything important is staged. He learned to use his other abilities like hearing and smelling. When he was about 2years old his mother passed away and he befriended a little cardinal, which fell out of his nest. This cardinal is now his long life friend, who helps him understand his surroundings better.

Eric is guided by a crow he befriended before losing his eyesight completely. He often shares his food and warm place to sleep in exchange for the crows guidance and companionship. The black bird is often times perched on his head or withers, cawing or tapping on Eric to alert the equid of any potential obstacles. On the occasion Eric wishes to run, his crow friend will fly right above him, letting out differing caws as audio ques for when to turn, or if something is in Erics way.

Prompt: Echo was born without his sight, so he's never known anything different. This guy relies on his other senses. He listens to his surroundings, his footsteps, and his companions to find his way. He also makes excellent use of long whiskers on his muzzle and his tail to judge his position. It's not uncommon to see him using his tail to map the edge of a trail. Of course, it helps that he is a creature of habit, and prefers to stay where he is familiar with the terrain.

Prompt: Demo is short for Demolition. What he cant brute force his way through; well it just isnt worth trying. Hes hard to reason with, and copes with his blindness by believing he is just "seeing impaired". Realistically though, he is a great listener; his sense of hear higher due to the loss of sight, he knows the sound of all of his normal surroundings, and find comfort in staying in areas he is familiar with. When he, on those rare occasions, finds himself out of his normal surroundings, he is more likely to crash and burn until he finds a familiar sound.

Prompt: Shade was born blind and could never understand what is that "seeing" that everybody keeps telling him about. He was going around pretty fine, but still couldnt keep up with other foals and that upset him a bit, until on one fateful day, he met a bat roosting near his herd's night shelter. The friendly night hunter was the first creature who truly spoke on the same language as Shade! Fascinated, Shade kept coming back to the bat roost every night for as long as it stayed there, and asked the bat all about how it flies, and after his teacher left for another hunting ground, he started mastering the art of Hearing. By his first year, he was the swiftest and most agile equid in the herd! He feels the sound in his mane, using his long tail as an antennae; by raising it and carefully "listening" to the wind with every hair, he is able to tell exactly where every branch and blade of grass is, for many steps ahead. He's become a night ghost of the mountainside, able to outrun every other competetor wherever his herd went, legendary for his ability to outmaneuver any predator. He may be a bit slower than others when discovering an unknown area, but he prefers to go slow and steady and learn everything about a place before he can truly fly through it.

Prompt: Churro was born with sight, it was not as strong as the other foals but he did not let that slow him down. His sight really started to fade when he was 3 years old. Churro was very Intune with his other sense but he got his leg stuck in some rocks while exploring a new section of mountain. Some humans spotted him before his herd could find him. They called a rescue to come save him and the next thing Churro knew he was felling drowsy and there were humans all around him. When Churro came to nothing smelted or felt familiar. While he was recovering he met the local "tame" equids, Kaela was very quite and hardly spoke but would often spend time hanging around Churro's pen. After Churro was let out Kaela continued to stay close by and as time went on they developed a bond. Kaela would let Churro do his own thing using his own senses to navigate his world. But with small things like a nudge on a certain part of his body, a tug on his main or tail, and even Kaela using her tail. To let Churro know when he was about to miss something important. You will now find these two almost attached at the hip but Kaela will give Churro his space when he ask for it.
