[ Leafbare | Winter ] the chances of injury and illness rise significantly. If a cat goes on multiple patrols in a single
post, their risk of catching colds increases, which could lead to more serious issues. additionally, theyll be less
likely to catch prey or find other cats during these patrols.

[ Newleaf | Spring ] the likelihood of catching illnesses is lower, and the chances of finding prey have increased.
however, flooding and heavy rainfall have raised the risks for cats. there is also a higher chance of finding cats
in border patrols, as plenty are out and about!

[ Greenleaf | Summer ] its harder to find other cats now, but there are more rogues and predators around, posing a
threat to your clan. the warmer weather offers plenty of opportunities - like increased prey and thriving
territory, but it also brings risks like heat stress and dwindling water sources.

[ Leaf-Fall | Autumn ] its important to stockpile herbs for the winter, as the risk from predators rises while prey
becomes more scarce.

1. to start out, you will first fill out a clan introduction! our writers claim specific clans
to make writing more personalized to your clan, and will need information to do so! you can be as
vague or specific as you like. from there, a writer will claim your clan! please keep in mind that
if you aren't specific, we will use our default prey, predators, and natural disasters.

2. after filling out the clan introductory form, please use the following code. you may customize
it, but please include the following information: your clan link, link to your last post, link to last
writer response, any active quests, your full clan list, and your herb/prey storages!

3. once your clan is claimed, you may then post an explore! explores can be any type of writing
as long as it is related to a cat currently within the ARPG, or a direct family member to a cat in
the ARPG. however, we recommend you leave the writing somewhat open ended so it's easy for
a writer to respond!

4. whenever you post an explore, there is also three types of patrols to opt into: herb, border,
and hunting patrols. each of these patrols gives you items like food and herbs you can utilize in
explore, or increased chances for random cat encounters! for more specific info on these,

your clan members can go out on three different types of patrols: hunting, herb, and border patrols.
each are tailored to support your clans well-being and survival! each holds unique perks, surprises,
fun and risk to make playing explore more thrilling! you will need to be smart with your choices -
when you first begin, if you have six or less cats, you are allowed two patrols, with two cats
in each patrol.

cats do not have an infinite amount of energy - sending one cat out on multiple different patrols in
one explore can result in the cat getting sick, or an illness, which may worsen without rest or herbs.

hunting patrols are essential - without hunting, your
clan cannot sustain itself! via hunting, you will able
to hunt various prey (either our standard list, or a
custom prey set!). prey varies in sizes - equivalent
to Food Points (FP). you will use prey to feed your
clan based on their serving size - which will scale
with your total amount of cats. more/less FP may
be needed due to injury or other.

if you lack FP to match your serving size, you could
ration your portions (each member takes a HP cut)
or feed to weakest members of your clan to strongest.
(meaning, some warriors may go hungry, but kits
and elders will be fed!)

however, within hunting patrols, you may face dangers
- such as predators, weather, or traps/encounters.

and you cant send a single cat out on too many patrols
- otherwise, you risk your cats being sick, or even dying!

herb patrols allow your cats to gather plants needed
to treat injuries and illnesses, especially important
for unexpected sickness and wounds in harsher
seasons. it may even be useful to stock on
poisonous herbs to draw out predators!

these can be effected by season, weather, and
terrain! feel free to be detailed in your responses
- and remember to keep your clans medicine
stores stocked and healers prepared!

you will also be able to visit mossmaw - she may have
some tasks needing to be done, in return for herbs!

with border patrols, you can connect with nearby clans
- forming alliances, enemies, maybe even some sneaky
romances! these patrols also carry a boosted chance of
encountering rogues, loners, lost kits & more - if found,
you can extend a paw and invite them to your clan!

you may also stumble upon predators, or fun information
and secrets - no patrol is entirely 'safe'!
