This year, Mako had a fairly interesting Valentine's Day. Tang happened to invite Mako to go out with him to lunch, and Mako didn't think much of it at first. When Mako arrived to the restaurant in question, he was quite taken aback. The building was covered in valentine decorations, and it seemed that there was a sort of event going on there. He heard a voice sound behind him.
"Hey Mako! Over here!"
He'd turn to see Tang smiling and waving him over.
"Well, come on now! We don't want to be late for our reservation!"
A bit dumbfounded, Mako replied and followed his friend into the restaurant.
"Alright!"
When the two arrived at the table, the waitress took their orders. After a bit of small talk, their food arrived. To Mako's surprise, everything was heart-shaped! From his steak to his garlic bread- even the mashed potatoes were molded into the shape of a heart! He'd glance up from his food to gaze at Tang. Why did he pick here of all places? Was this intentional? Was this.. a date?
"How do you like your food? Is it spicy?"
Tang's sudden question startled him, and he looked up with flushed cheeks.
"Oh- I like it. It's not spicy at all! Why"
"Well, your face it red!"
"Oh- yeah. I-"
Tang actually cut Mako off.
"Actually, I had something I wanted to give to you.."
" What.. is it?"
Tang pulled a small, heart-shaped pink slip of paper out of his satchel and sheepishly delivered it to Mako. It read: "Dear Mako. I really like you a lot. Be my valentine?"
With a face as red as a tomato, Mako took Tang's paw in his and exclaimed:
"Yes..!"

Prompt: This valentine's day was the first one I had a partner for in a long time, and the first time anyone's ever sent me flowers. It was totally unexpected, and I didn't think it would mean as much to me as it did-- but I teared up receiving them because I was so moved by the gesture. It was just so, so sweet of my companion to do that for me. The flowers are gorgeous, and they're the light of my kitchen at the moment. However, the poor flower delivery guy did get barked to high heaven by my little corgi, and I looked positively miserable when I answered the door in my fluffy robe. In my defense, it was early in the morning. But yes! That's a little story about how my valentine's day went. <3

Prompt: This year, Bo and Drowsy had a plan. They were going to get ALL FOUR kids out of the house for valentines day, have a nice dinner date in, and maybe even fit a movie in before they get home. They had been asking around, checking bulletin boards, and making sneaky suggestions to their platelings all month. Finally, the day arrived, and the plan was SET. Popcorn was off to help at the bakery, Disco was going to a gala, Thunder was going to help deliver last-minute letters and Twinkle was off to some kind of craft thing! They bundled the platelings out of the house, shut the door, and.... Silence. Bo and Drowsy grinned at each other. Finally, a nice, quiet night for themselves.

Prompt: Odeta thought it would be the year for romance. She even wrote a poem of her love for them. But apparently it was not to be this time. So since she didn't have someone to spoil and spoil her in return, she decided to do it herself. She bought herself a lovely bouquet of flowers that might last a little longer and brighten her days. She bought a few of the fancy chocolates from a cute little shop she had been to once before. Odeta picked up some sparkling juice (the red berry flavors, because they are better), and some ingredients to make herself a yummy but quick picnic for lunch and a delicious meal later for dinner.

Deciding she might want to spoil herself, but she didn't really want to be alone, Odeta called up a friend or two that she knew would be spending the day alone as well. With the bribery of free food and good friendship, they all enjoyed an evening together eating yummy food and watching romcoms. Because although they may not have a romantic relationship at the moment, Odeta at least finds them sweet and funny sometimes.
