Prompt: Brooke, as a young filly, had met her best friend, who was too at that time, a filly. They met as their mothers were grazing by the plentiful grass, and became quick friends. They would romp around the fields together, playing tag and all sorts of other games till the sun would set, and do it again the next day. They grew up together and would stay together, although that wasn't always possible. Eventually, they had to go their ways and lived in new herds. She missed her old friend dearly, and while she made many new ones- none were the same as her dear friend.
One day, she was taken into the care of a human when she and her many herd members had lack of food and grew weak and wary. They were provided food, water and treats, and then surprisingly, she was reunited with her dear old friend again! From that day on, they would refuse to go anywhere without one another, and even the humans understood their bond- they were inseparable.

Prompt:

Hunter was a rather aggressive stallion when he was wild, he knew that nothing he had came without fighting for it every single day, and that even once he finally got it that it could be taken away from him at any moment, so it's safe to say that he had few friends.

He never let anyone get too close to him, he knew that they could leave him for a different herd at the drop of a hat, become lost to the harsh and unforgiving world around them or even turn against him at the drop of a hat, so he kept everyone at a distance- Everyone except Bruno.

Bruno was an unlikely companion for Hunter and the two met at a creek nearby when they had stopped for a quick drink to beat the heat, both were wary of each other but the tension between the two eased up when Bruno began to clean up one of the wounds on Hunter's leg, creating an alliance between mustang and hound dog.

Bruno was born a stray, though it had been a long time since he had seen any of his family, he had wandered for miles and barely escaped predators as a pup, eventually reaching adulthood and learning that he too had to fight for everything he ever had.

Bruno and Hunter paired up and were inseperable, Bruno's mere presence frightened most predators and anything that came near him would have to get through Hunter first.

That's what made their separation so hard, when the humans came and caught Hunter and Bruno both and took them somewhere they couldn't see or smell each other.

Hunter was miserable without him, finding it hard to go about his new daily routine without the presence of the hound mix beside him, though that changed when he arrived at Polar North only to be reunited with his best friend for the first time, the handlers at the ranch having adopted them both.

Hunter was so joyful to see Bruno, and Bruno to see him, the pair frolicked and played for hours and eventually settled down to just enjoy each other's company for the first time in what felt like forever.

Hunter and Bruno now enjoy walks and rides together and have a loving, caring home that refuses to keep them apart for too long.

(Note: Hunter and Bruno were separated because Bruno had to go to the vet to get checked out and stayed there for a while to recuperate from being on his own for so long. They were eventually both ready for adoption and the staff told the handlers at PN that they were pretty bonded and should be adopted together.)

Prompt: Ikar, the wild mustang with a fiery spirit, found himself crossing paths with a magnificent wild hawk in the vast expanse of the untamed prairies. Their encounter sparked an instant connection, and an extraordinary friendship blossomed between them.

Ikar, with his untamed spirit and flowing mane, found solace in the hawk's graceful presence. The hawk, soaring high above, guided Ikar through treacherous terrains and warned him of lurking dangers. They became inseparable companions, their bond unbreakable.

Together, they explored the breathtaking landscapes, galloping across fields and mountains with the wind as their constant companion. Their friendship resonated with the beauty of the wild, and their harmonious existence inspired all who witnessed their enchanting alliance.

Ikar and the wild hawk, united by their shared love for freedom, carved their own path through the untamed wilderness. Their story became a testament to the enduring power of friendship, transcending boundaries and reminding us that true companionship knows no limits.

Prompt:

Friendship has many interpretations, but the sentiment is always roughly the same.

Bonney, named after the surname of notorious outlaw Billy the Kid, grew up with a best friend that most horses wouldn't give the time of day. A creature known for monstrous talons, an elegant plumage, and for its symbolism for the United States; the bald eagle. From the day Bonney was born, there was always a bald eagle nearby. Be it flying above him or low to the ground and near him, Bonney was never alone when the eagle was around. There was no communication between the two animals, but rather a silent understanding of one thing; they would race to see who was the fastest.

Each day had one of their races, with Bonney on land and the eagle in the sky, tugging at his mane or offering a loud call to try to throw him off. At night, the eagle would sleep in the trees above Bonney and his herd, watching over the foal as he started to grow and mature.

When Bonney was chased off of his herd by the lead stallion, the eagle followed. When he was rounded up by TTHS, in need of serious medical care after sustaining wounds and starting to lose weight from life as a wild horse, the eagle called out to him one last time.

Bonney doesn't see the eagle in his new home anymore, at least not as close as he once did, but he watches the sky for his feathered friend.
