prompt: Aurora travels by night. Not because they're being sneaky or anything, but simply because that is the time of day when stars are present to guide them. There's a constellation that looks a bit like a budgerigar, and that's the one which leads the way to their secret destination...

But where is Aurora going? Why, to a party of course! The day after Christmas every year, Aurora follows the budgie constellation and travels to their hometown, where they meet with friends and family from back when they were just a wee little goo! This celebration is extremely important to them because they were a bit of a late bloomer and didn't turn into a fully-fledged goobie until they arrived at the Happy New Year festivities and saw the ball drop and fireworks go off, lighting up the night sky. On that night Aurora grew (although admittedly not much, they are still a small goob), and developed an array of dazzling colors.

Aurora's tail is shaped like that ball which falls to announce the beginning of the New Year, and their paw pads are shaped like the stars which lit up the night sky. Their beautiful pink and blue colors were those of their very favorite firework of the evening, one which exploded into a massive circle and then fell, like shooting stars, with enough sparks for everyone to make their very own wish.

The most precious thing that Drizzle has to protect is her own heart.


Inside of the ivory colored gates of bone, an invisible stone wall stands. Behind the tall stone wall, a beating organ pulsates brightly. A gem encased with blue and red vines, the only thing keeping one alive.

A pulsating gem, glowing with life. Without it, life wouldn’t exist. Remove it, and life ends. Inside this special gem hold infinite room for love. For the love of friends, love of family, love of affection, and the eternal love of life. The jewel can shatter by intense or sudden rejection of it, or the neglect of it. Can't over polish it, but also can't let it rot. This here, this gem, holds the most important values and beliefs to Drizzle, and which is why it is so important to her to protect.



Even in the frigid cold
The fire still burns, bright and warm

If it is removed from attention it seeks

They protect their friend, Azazel, from many things! Especially since Azazel has so pretty bad vision (running into a tree truck bad) and helps guide them when they hangout in the forest. They also make sure that Azazel gets out of the weather and be okay afterwards (Azazel kinda isn't used to be grounded after being forced to retire). As Ermine does this they make sure that Azazel is learning it all, so that way they'll be fine when Ermine has to leave. Even though Ermine helps and protects Azazel from most things that doesn't mean that Azazel is completely helpless. Azazel will help with carrying heavy items and protecting them from bigger threats even if they get hurt from their lack of vision. They both help and protect eachother, even though Ermine is determined to not have anyone help them. Also they totally carry around thistle leaves and a flexible dogwood stick as "weapons".

Chang'e loves making medicine, especially ones that helps others. She uses the stars to guide her way to medicinal plants that'll help her make her tonics and salves. In winter she often hunts down a certain plant that makes a good pain reliever, which she often times gives it to Ermine since they're often asking for it during the winter months. Something about a tall often sickly friend? Anyway Chang'e will go out when it's dark since some of the rarer plants somehow glow. Often times though she is lead to a cave that feels almost alive, but not aggressive. Kind of like being welcomed into a friend's house. In this cave there is often times the plant she needs, but she only takes what she needs and leaves most of the plant. While she's there though she relaxes there since it tends to be warm and there's a faint glow from the plants and Chrystals that cling to the cave walls.
