Sanguis has mixed feelings about the holiday season. Some years he looks forward to the gifts he might or might not receive; others, he is usually too busy. That's why a couple of years ago, before the holiday season, he made gift bags for people in need. He goes around, asking people for what they want for Christmas, and buys it, along with a couple of candies in a bag.

Last year, however, things went south for him. He had lost a couple of family members, his partner broke up with him, and on top of that, he had earned a scar running down his face at a bar fight*. Naturally, Sanguis was bummed out at all of this. So, he went to mountain climbing as an escape. He loved mountain climbing so much, he moved to another town which was in the range of a higher mountain. As he slowly started to gain popularity among the other residents, a lot of the children there took a liking to him. After realizing that there were so many children he could make happy, he started wearing bells. Now, whenever he mountain climbs, or walks down the street, the bells jingle and everybody's happy! The children often say he's Santa's missing reindeer, and he can see why.
