She and her previous owner were out hunting, and had successfully gotten a deer and two rabbits. They began to search for bears then. They didn't know there were bear traps around...Now, normally this would just catch a paw or foot, but her whole lower leg slipped through. The bear trap sprung shut further up then it should have. She had to be rushed to a vet. They had to remove that whole part of the leg. The owner no longer wanted her...but luckily a vet assistant fell in love and ended up taking her home.
