The Spectacled Flying Fox, Pteropus conspicillatus, is a fruit bat native to Queensland, Australia! They are so cute and I love their little toast-shaped face markings. They love figs, among other fruits, and have massive wingspans.

My second and third favorite animals are the black headed flying fox and the little red flying fox, followed by the grey headed flying fox in fourth place. Obviously, fruit bats are the best!

My favorite animal is the Red Panda! We have two at my local zoo, and while they look like a carnivore (complete with flashy markings) they mainly eat vegetation. They are so peaceful and friendly that there is a major poaching problem because they really don't engage in fight or flight responses very often.

They are extremely playful, even toward inanimate objects. This lovely, rare creature is the star of the new Disney film, Turning Red, so there is soon to be plenty of red panda merchandise available for fans!
