A pearl? Those are so small, I don't see why they would fight for a pearl.

A pearl can be consided a sea dragons egg ^^
But I think if the one character is a egg thief, then your fursona (or scalesona) should be protecting a nest of dragon eggs..

Yeah sounds good but I can't make a whole comic about one fight: Curse has to chase her for something. (it can be a egg or a baby dragon)
I think that an aboned baby dragon is very good idea. But I need a "scale-sona" for it.
