Chicoons are a strange subclass of dragon, and although they are closely related to Amphithere as well as Western dragons, they are unlike either! Chicoon have long, flexible necks, a curly and stretchy tongue, floppy ears, a box-like head, wings on their head, and a flame that hovers by their tail.

Chicoon are Arboreal Fruigivores that stand roughly 4 feet in height. They have a high intelligence and can lean how to communicate with any animal, however lack the necessary vocal chords to speak any verbal language. They express emotions mainly through body language and the use of their head-wings, they have proven to be very friendly and generally enjoy the company of humans!

what are they waiting for? -A warm breeze on a rainy day that lasts forever. They were born in a forever stormy area (in both a literal and figurative sense) and it's always cold so a warm breeze would help with the chilling cold. Even though they don't seem happy about anything, they just seem to look that way to make sure to hide their happiness from their gloomy home, though one day they'll make it out and be happy, though they'll need their storm umbrella to help them feel safe.

"How long have you been standing there for, Five? You have to go home eventually" a blue chicoon about half the size of the black one was leaning against the doorway of the office space, watching Five standing staring out his window down onto the street below in the night. It was raining, his red umbrella sat at his side.
"I'm waiting" he said without directly answering his friend. He watched as the busy people bustled by without a care. They were running back and forth, driving here and there, no thoughts of anything than what lay ahead of them. Five twitched his ears a moment as he saw some clouds part for a brief moment before the sky was engulfed again.
"I don't know what's so important that you have to stand there gazing off into nowhere for two hours, what possibly you could be waiting for, but good luck with it. I'm heading home..."
"Kringle," Five didn't turn his gaze but he lifted a paw up, "be careful out there..."
Kringle started to walk out before he stopped.
"What are you waiting for anyways?" he asked.
No answer. He shrugged and left the chicoon alone in his office.
Five felt his eyes growing heavy, he felt tired. He wouldn't leave, though, wouldn't take his eyes off that street. He watched everything, anything. Nothing yet, but he waited.
Another hour past, he shifted uncomfortably in his spot and considered giving up.
"Nothing is happening... there's no point anymore" he sighed and started packing up his things at his desk.
Not a few minutes later, the sound of tires squealing across asphalt ripped through the air and pinched Five's eardrums painfully. He ran to the window, dropping everything as his belongings scattered to the floor. There outside, was a man dressed in bright red lifting a car off the ground. He threw it right as the driver managed to slide out safely. The man then lifted up the driver, cackling, and saying something indiscernible.
What are you waiting for anyways?
"My chance" Five put on a black mask and jumped out the window into the street below. He stared at the villain in the street as he dropped the driver upon Five's arrival.
"Little man, were you expecting me?"
Five grinned.
"I guess you could say that".
He lunged forward and the fight began.

what are they waiting for? - A rainstorm, or to leave their town.

Sourdrop lives in a very dry area, every time there's rain, it's only a light drizzle. Their town needs a storm, or they might die out. Sourdrop is hoping all day, every day for a flood, or for at least SOME heavy rain. Although it seems easy for them to just move out, they are stuck to their town until one day, that only occurs every 500 years where they can leave.

But, nobody knows when this day will come; the residents at the town try to leave every day, including Sourdrop, to see if it's the day where they can leave. Nobody has left yet; this day may have passed already, or if it's just around the corner OR if they will never be able to experience this in their lifetime. They have almost given up hope, considering that this day may just be a rumour.

This day may never come.

what are they waiting for? Tulikuuma had lived down in the earth's mantle with his fellow coal Chicoons. It was the only place where the coal Chicoons could feel comfortable. There is only problem with the coal Chicoons, they cannot catch flame and slowly perish into ash. Over the thousands of years, they started to gain the ability to protect themselves from the fire and lava, their umbrella tail. Let's take a look onto how coal Chicoons use their tails, we will be examining Tulikuuma. He peered down to see his reflection amongst the glimmering lava below him. His ear flicked back as a single droplet of fire landed on his coal like body. "Ouch." he huffed; his tail began to slowly form into an umbrella to protect his fragile skin from the Frain. He then preceded pat off the spot where the frain had hit him. The frain had started pouring, little splats hit Tulikuuma umbrella tail but never his body. He smiled, flapped his wings and took off to his den. -
