General
Arevia are alien creatures that take the top form of cats and the bottom form of almost a furred snake with oftentimes a hair/feather-like tuft at the tip of their tails. They have four eyes and four ears but that being said most are often born and stay blind or deaf through their lifetime due to a mutation that was caused when they entered the earth’s atmosphere and messed with their cycles of breeding and maturing seeing as they both mature faster and their cycles last shorter periods of time to match the short days on earth unlike the longer day cycles of their home planet.

Maturing V2.

Kidhood.
When born, Arevia Kits look much like small fuzzy snakes, they have very small front limbs and slither/sway their way across the ground after their parents/parent. Kits will eat anything and anything put infront of them unless they are about to die which means it is easy to feed a Kit but is hard to control what they consume if not in a very controlled environment as they are able to swallow anything smaller than their head at the time as they have unfused jaws at this age unlike their adult counterparts.

You can often find Kits from the same Arevia pack/group huddled up in a writhing ball of fur and feathers as they at that age will seek heat from anything giving it off and parents will find a suitable spot and dig a hole to act as a nest for the mass of Kits.

Kits are born both blind and deaf and stay that way until four months in which one pair of their eyes and ears will open allowing them to adjust to the sights and sounds around them before they reach the age that both pairs start to work in usion.

Juvenile.
Juvenile Arevia are very scrawny and have a hard time controlling any limbs, you can often see them with all their eyes shut for months before alternating eyes and ears. At this age parents will be seen chasing them away from nesting areas and the Juveniles will begin to form packs, as Arevia are genderless creatures they dont have need for Bachelor packs so you will often just see two Juvenile Arevia full on tail swatting eachother hard enough to break bones.

As they grow they start to overfill on hormones which is an after effect from when Arevia I arrived, the Arevia at this age are often separated due to the fact that they could kill each other if messed with wrong, Humans also tend to stay away during this stage as due to the size of Arevia and the evolving tail muscles they have they could easily break a person's spine in this stage.

Dr. Centric’s Note: Wild Arevia seem to show no issue in this regard and ARPF is trying to figure out if human involvement in this stage is leading to aggression.

Mature.
Maturing age is when hormones level out and the Arevia are safe to be around, they are released into controlled areas and observed if they are kept at ARPF but those let go to civilians are keep for a period of 5 months before being moved to the new owners home, this is due to both controlling the property and insuring it is proper for the new arrival and to do an interview and background check on the civilian before it is processed.

Mature Arevia are seen to be rather agile and it is recommended to keep a pool if you do acquire one as they often have spine issues due to their tail if they are not given free access to water to alleviate the pressure their tail puts on their spine.

Elder.
Misleading title, humans do not know when Arevia are considered 'Elders' or even die truly, those that have died so far where Arevia I that were found to be almost a millenia old and those with fatal diseases or complications.

Image
Wild Arevia
Wild Arevia unlike Tame/Domesticated Arevia share the most genetic mutation to their counterparts, these Arevia are often seen with mutations and are considered the highest statistic of being blind or deaf due to their lineages. Humans can adopt these Arevia but it is both illegal and inhumane to capture one from the wild as they are very much Pack Orenitated creatures, unlike their Domestic counterparts that share more traits with domestic felines.

This being said you can care for these Arevia if you have a permit to do so and the space to keep these creatures on your property.

Anatomy V2.

Skeleton Structure.
Arevia have the skeletal structure that can be seen to be a close relation to a group of four animals; Feline, Canine, Bird, and Porpoise. It is not known how the anatomy of their skeleton is like this but scientists think it is due to the way Arevia defy gravity on their home planet, much like in water they had once been able to float on their homeworld with their tails acting like a flap to steer them. Some scientists expect that Arevia I once had fin-like or feather-like tails that would stretch to the size of around 3 feet from tip to tip after observing the remaining Arevia I they have in their facility. This theory is supported by the skeletons we have of both Arevia I, Domestic, and Wild Arevia as they tails form hypermobile and are able to swing any direction and have seen behavior in older generation Arevia to match with the flight patterning research we have on dinosaurs that had used their tails to maneuver through the air.

This also matches with another thing we know about their skeletal features, their front part of their body shows a hybridized form of a Felidiae and Canidae skeletal structure, their nose bridge longer but not as long as standard Canines and have the hypermobility of Felines. Their teeth show to be longer and sharper than domestic breeds of Feline and Canine and show more relation to the Undomesticated cousins. Some Arevia I have also been noted to have hollow fangs and glands running atop their jaws from looking at their muscle structure after one of them died due to complications from pressure change.

They have the chest cavity matching the traits of Avians, their leg bones are also often seen to be hollow in older generations and with newer generations the chest cavity seems to be shrinking towards the rib cage as Arevia migrate to either learn to deal with gravity and stay on land or evolve to live in different types of water conditions.

Muscle Structure.
Arevia Muscle Structure is a mess to explain, They hybridize heavily at their head to torso between Feline and Canine, at the shoulders it gains an Avian structure and down the tail its like a porpoise.

Facial Features.
A stocky face that often matches with a canine in looks but is reminiscent of a feline, their front pairs of ears are often the first to react in situations and their back pair is always tilted away from where they are focusing to ward away predators. Their upper eyes are more expressive and see easier while their bottom eyes seem to hold this groggy annoyed look from their half lidded point.

The eyes are easy to explain, within the sockets the top ones are larger and hold the ‘eyebrow bone’ while the bottom pair are shown hidden under the top ones, this ends up with skin and fur between the two pushing on the bottom pair's upper eyelid giving them their signature expression.

Arevias ear canals are confusing to many researchers as the canal connects deeper in the skull which would prove that both ears hear the same thing at the same time no matter what direction but it’s been shown that Arevia use their back ears as communication devices, Their back ears will vibrate and twitch to signal a nearby Arevia of their emotions, as a greeting, or to warn them of danger. Scientists assume this works kind of like a bats echolocation, as Arevia also chirps to communicate verbally with Humans and other Arevia at times.

Paws.
The Arevia’s paw is shown to show close resemblance to the Panthera Genus family. Some more recent Arevia have begun to develop Monkey like paws with longer toe pads, this is a trait some researchers are both unsettled and confused by as Arevia are seen to be scavengers and ambush hunters most of the time from their observations of Wild Arevia.

Arevia have flexible claws meaning they can sheath and unsheath them at will and be pressed out by pressure held to the toepad.

Image
Breeding Cycles/Kits
Arevia breeding cycles are unpredictable and almost impossible to fully figure out how and when they happen. Most people believe they share an estrus cycle with domestic canines, but much more sporadic due to the atmosphere they haven’t yet developed to.

Due to this breeding is often mainly scientifically done in a controlled area after a Domestic Arevia is sent to them, the owner then receives both the Arevia and their kits back after 14 months, 12 months for the pregnancy, and the additional 2 months to keep an eye on the Arevia kits and the parent, Arevia kits will be kept behind after the two months if they are seen to have fatal mutations, The owner will not be told and will be given the remaining kits.

Arevia litters consist of 1-4 kits the rarest being 4 kits, first-time parents will often only have 1 kit. It is seen as a danger for Arevias that are not wild to have more than 2 kits at a time and will often end badly for the pregnant Arevia.

Diet
Arevia are carnivores, both Domestic and Wild Arevia. Humans will feed them much like cats and dogs with kibble substitutes but it never matches up to what an Arevia looks like fed on raw meat since they unlike Earth species are immune to disease spread through meat since their main source of food on their home planet was often toxic or diseased.

Image
Magic
Arevia I are considered the first Arevia to arrive on earth, many of them died but some of them survived. These Arevia are kept as ambassadors for what the Species originally looked like and how powerful they were.

Most of the Arevia I have gone both blind and deaf due to pressure changes when they got here, Often times you can tell an Arevia I from a Domesticated or Wild Arevia is the fact that they have magic, these Arevia are often seen with glowing orbs or circles around them, some can summon magic ears or eyes to see or hear for them in a sort of way.

Younger generations of Arevia have begun gaining back these powers but on a smaller scale, some have begun to develop earth-liken elemental powers in substitute to their old magic and can control things such as soil, plants, water, fire, and wood. Unlike their Arevia I counterparts these Arevia cannot use the magic eyes/ears and use other forms to help them around if they are lacking sight or hearing.
