Bijoux are a type of kirin who are closely related to dik-diks. They are small bovids that, instead of keratin, have gems or minerals that form their hooves, horns, and a thin layer beneath their skin to serve as a shield. They are herbivores that stand two feet tall. Their social structure is a hierarchy, which means that one Bijou rules the others. It is believed they have healing abilities based on the gem/mineral found in their bodies. They are very timid creatures and prefer to stay with their own kind. Caves are very sacred to Bijoux and some herds even live in them to be closer to the precious stones found within.
