sovereign sabers are a prehistoric sabertoothed cat species that has recently been revived by scientists and placed into
controlled environments in order to be monitored. sovereigns are heavy on gene-splicing and creative freedom, so
there's bound to be a sovereign that suits your fancy!

that can probably turn any head!

this sovereign can be won through a judged prompt! you may either draw or write
out your prompt answer. no word maximum, word minimum is 100. prettying up forms is not required, but encouraged.
judging will be in a couple weeks - possibly sooner.

important: this sovereign was drawn on the female lines, meaning it must be female presenting or identifying, if
not cisfemale! sovereigns are matriarchal, and usually females are larger and appear more 'masculine' than the males.

prompt answer:
The wind grew slightly warmer as the sun began to rise over the horizon, causing the large queen to cover her eyes as sunlight directly hit her face. She turned over to look at the other saber next to her, the well-decorated king slightly flicking his tail before letting out a small giggle. "Are you alright, Viv?" The male asked, only for the queen to respond with a slight reassuring smile. "Oh, yes I'm quite alright, dear. Though if you don't mind me asking, why on earth did you take me out here? Seems a bit early to continue scouting isn't it?" Curiosity filled her voice, laying down politely in the snow to watch how her love would respond.

Both of them knew that their main goal they had was simple, scouting out the path to a new land for them and their people to inhabit. While it had not taken too long in the grand scheme of things, it had still been going on for long enough to become a routine of sorts. Following their pawsteps only a few miles behind was the rest of their pack, being lead and cared for by the second-in-command until they caught up to the Queen. Cedric had never stopped for something before in the rest of their travels, and Vivamus had become curious as to why he would do something like this now.

The male smiled, blushing slightly as he looked towards the other saber, the sun beginning to shine on his light fur, the beautiful sight of the sun on Cedric's face almost distracting Vivamus from the words the king spoke. "Well, that's just it, Viv. I...think this is the place. I know you've seen the trees around here, and the large amount of prey despite how cold it is up here for most other species. We can also probably use some old abandoned caves around here for the pack- heck, we might even be able to discover some old history of whoever lived here before us!" He paused for a moment, his eyes moving away before he finished speaking with a small apology for his blabbering.

"Heh, you're alright Ceddy, You've got a lot of good points about this place dear. But, why did you have to bring me all the way up here to tell me that?" The queen asked, one paw going to softly caress the other's face. Cedric smiled and leaned into the touch before looking off to where the sun was rising. His tail motioned towards the sunrise and a soft giggle left him once more. "Because, I hoped that would help to fully convince you." Vivamus was confused for a moment, but turned to where Cedric motioned, her eyes widening slightly as she took in the sight before her.

The sun had now gone up a significant amount, lighting up the valley in front of them. The snow that decorated the ground and trees almost seemed to sparkle as the sunlight hit it. The ground under the trees that she could see was full of patterns from the light shining through the trees, whites and greys interrupted with splashes of green as small bits of foliage peeked out of the snow. Small flashes of brown from small animals scrambling around to meet the morning sun, accompanied by the sound of birds beginning to greet the day. Even closer to the edges of the valley, the calming sight of small beams of light finding their way into abandoned caves, surrounded by more glimmering snow.

"It's beautiful- It's...It's perfect." The queen said, voice in shock at the sight of the place. Though the larger of the two stayed sitting for a while longer, Cedric lifted himself up with a big grin on his face, beginning to barrel down the hill down to the valley, feeling a sort of youth that neither of the two had seen from each other for a while. "Come on, then! We gotta prepare this place for the others! I call cleaning the caves!" That snapped the queen out of it, who followed the king down to the valley with a large childish smile on her face as well. "Hey, don't think you're doing that on your own, Ceddy! I need to help out too!"
