So yes, although you need to sever his arms in order to proceed, I not literally BROKE THEM. He was reaching for me as I pulled the second bar off of the cage that was holding the door open. One split second later, and it would have been GAME OVER. However, since he was about to make a grab for me, his arm literally glitched out. It went crazy, moving on its own (which, his Fandom page says is possible, to an extent). I got stuck under it and it kept moving. It freaked me out.
