as people are discussing this, i need to make a comment: i am not going to host any further art contests for adopts. this will still stay open and it will be up to the artist's discretion whether or not their art goes to the owner. i understand concerns about crediting art, re-using lines, and the fact that artists have the rights to their own art. it's not something that i have considered before, but it makes sense, and it's not fair to claim those sorts of rules. i was snippy about it and i shouldn't have been, and i'm sorry to those that were hurt by that.

-on another note, you can always contact me with suggestions or changes, instead of posting it where a person may not necessarily see it. if you feel like something I am doing isn't fair, it won't get changed for the better if I don't know about it

↑↑they're animated plushies, magical little guys- you can make them speak, they can smell things, and if you're able to play it off somehow, eat/drink? as long as you can back it up/give an explanation, then i will most likely approve it.
they can do human things, you can make a world for them, i just ask that they don't interact with humans. animals are totally fine!

mark w/ mental note of exhausted college
student studying arboriculture who has a
part time job as a cafe worker because
they need that employee discount on
coffee in the morning. they hoard
leaves as they fall during autumn and
pin them up on a board to study them.

-irritable due to being tired 24/7
-generally dislike communicating w/
other jestelin
-prefer company of trees (they listen and
don't make them anxious)
-generally read books while talking to trees
or plants that they care for. they especially
like psychological horror/horror subtypes
or anything to do w/ tree facts.
-since they can't actually ingest coffee
the coffee in their universe is a scented
spray that they spritz themselves w/.
-chaotic due to younger rebellious nature
carrying on into their adulthood. their
wardrobe generally still shows this at least
slightly (harness)

❧ koru started off as just a pile of black tar ,
as every jestelin of his kind do .
it looked disgusting, really . regardless ,
it was him . as koru became himself , he
began to study anatomy . animal anatomy ,
even though none of the jestelin libraries
had any books over them . koru went to work
then , studying stolen videos from anatomy
classes , which led to a very great interest
in bones , what he and every other jestelin
didn't have . as the chaotic man grew , he
started to study ( stolen , of course ) videos
over osteology , and soon became the first
osteologist in jestelin history . he owns the
worlds largest collection of bones , only
because each and every one is a different
learning opportunity for his students .
and obviously they're cool to look at . ☙
