Welcome to Absideon, a place filled with wonder, magic, and good times! If you can spare the time, check out one of our most unique species: Cloudsnappers! Make yourself at home. The snappers can be quite friendly, so take a little bit to introduce yourself. If one likes you, you’ll probably be taking them home!

WHAT IS A CLOUDSNAPPER?

Cloudsnappers are large creatures that sport transparent or translucent tusks filled with a firm jelly. They also have puffy legs, extremely small and delicate paws, and an odd head; it looks as if it was upside down, but this is not the case. Although the eyes of a Cloudsnapper reside in the lower jaw, their heads are very much “normal”. A Cloudsnapper can vary from the size of a housecat to a large horse, although certain subtypes have been known to be much larger—or smaller. Cloudsnappers are warm-blooded and therefore don’t rely on a constant source of heat. They enjoy living in just about any place, be it the mountains, the desert, a swamp, or a human home. Cloudsnappers also have a fairly varied diet. They are omnivores, meaning that they can eat both plants and meat, however certain snappers might choose to only eat fruits, or only eat meat.

Cloudsnappers have been known to be intelligent, having interacted with humans on multiple occasions in ways only a truly sentient creature could; some might compare them to the likes of a chimpanzee. While they usually communicate with chirps, yaps, growls, barks, and other “primitive” sounds, it is entirely possible for a CS to learn a language, including human ones. They seem to possess an affinity for learning languages quite quickly.

Many strange and new mutations have been spreading throughout the population of Cloudsnappers. Most, if not all, appear to be harmless, but it should be noted that Cloudsnappers should be treated with care. The scientists and researchers that live on Absideon have come to the conclusion that permitting the adoption of these unique animals may help us learn even more about them!

RULES & GUIDELINES

> Cloudsnappers are a closed species, meaning you may not make your own without an MYO ticket!
> Refrain from stealing, copying, tracing, or taking very heavy inspiration off of Cloudsnappers.
> No drama/harassment will be tolerated
> You may not change the design of your Cloudsnapper without the correct item; revamps are allowed, just message a the owner or co-owner.
> You may not re-sell your snapper for more than what you paid unless they have extra art.
> Gifting and trading Cloudsnappers is perfectly fine.
> You may not try to outbid an auto buy on an auction adopt.
> Do not edit forms after they are posted on raffle adopts, fcfs adopts, or other adopts that would allow you to “win” them by posting then editing. Artists may also choose to not allow editing altogether!
> Bribing or blackmailing an artist is considered harassment and action will be taken.
> There is currently no limit to how many Cloudsnappers you may own.
> Three strikes is a ban. If you feel like you’ve been unfairly banned, please dm the owner (woofle / cozysaur) to request an appeal. These will be handled on a case by case basis.
> Design transfers are allowed, but all traits that are unique to Cloudsnappers must be removed or heavily edited.
> If you are banned, you will be allowed to keep your Cloudsnappers, but they cannot interact with the species in ANY way whatsoever. You will also not be allowed to obtain any other Cloudsnappers, MYOs, items, etc.
> If you have any issues, please contact a member of the staff!
