oh my god?? this is gorgeous!!

personally i look for detailed but not super complex if that makes sense? something i can replicate or commission art of fairly easily but not like. really simple c: my favorite styles are grunge and pastel goth. i also don't really like overused animal traits like cat ears because as much as i love a good catboy i have like. a million of them lmao.

I really like seeing unique outfits/accessories, and cohesive color palettes. Blues and oranges are personal favorites of mine (hence why I'm entering for this adopt, ha!) I also really like earth tones mixed with greens.

What I usually look for is human/oids with usability in my needs. So, shapeshifters or something that I think could shapeshift would be high on the list. I don't really focus too much on the design aspect because, more than likely, I'll find a use for them. However, I tend to avoid rainbow and designs with obvious shapes involved (like hearts and circles). I also really like simplicity, because it means that I would probably be able to draw them easier, but there's also a limit involved with that that I'm not quite sure how to put into words.

Theme-wise, I always look for nature-themed adopts as I will have the most use for them. Then, fantastical creatures (like this one) are always nice since I don't just work with one particular type of dimension (rather, there's quite a lot XD).

Color-wise, I'm always more pulled in by darker or more natural colors, but blue hues are always nice and, soon enough, I'm going to be needing neon pink and blue characters for a visual narrative I'm in the process of making here on CS, so, at the moment, that's pretty high on my list as well ^^

What sorts of things do you like in humanoid adopts? or what colors/themes do you like?

I'll start of super broad/generic (lol) but I tend to like a strong sense of character. I mean with all adopts you want character but I like an element that works their way into a design.

I also really like stereotypes/tropes subverted or a character with a small twist. Graceful ballerina who is skilled with knives and secretly an assassin, hardcore macho man that love small animals, most powerful being in the universe but has a very frail body. That kind of thing

I love sci/fi heavy fantasy but with eldritch/powerful characters. Robots, aliens, and monsters make me happy lol

So one example of this is I love religion/religious themes with characters. It tends to be very telling of a character's personality past if they're religious, why, and what religion. Also once you get into space and fantasy it gets super cool to see what religions there are and what they say about the culture. Sort of a niche design element but figure i'd throw it in

I'm talking a lot but just quick note on colors. I love reds so so much in characters. I also really love the orange/blue combo it always looks really cool and works the best (imo) out of the complimentary colors.

um i personally love fantasty and dnd-type humanoids! like elves, dwarves, tieflings, satyrs...
also cool, detailed outfits! either super full colours or rly bright, with pops of colour everywhere!

like other people have said, I love to see shapeshifters/mythical/dnd type of characters! I also tend to like seeing characters of mixed races/ethnicities cause I'm a sucker for that good representation lol <3
as for colors and such, I love seeing some natural colors/palettes with unnatural accents!
