Welcome to the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project
Euphorian Thoroughbreds are a rare string of the Thoroughbred breed. They come from a single farm simply called “Euphoria” that has horses with mutated genes. These allow them to be able to possess any realistic coat or markings. Everything else about the sub-type is the same. Long, strong legs, a powerful hind, and great speed. Their eyes are soft and the breed is incredibly smart, if not a bit goofy. They love kids and have the rare ability to excel in any discipline. They can grow from 15hh-18hh, though usually somewhere in the middle.
The horses readopted through the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project are looking for a new loving home and a new job. They’ve tried racing and have either retired or decided the sport wasn’t for them. Either way, they are ready for the next chapter in their life. Some of these horses will come with a little training already, and will have their new discipline already determined. Although others you’ll get to pick how they move forwards!

this stallion is essential to the lore of adagio stables. he remains nameless, as per his registered name, but he's well known from pasture to pasture. he's a quiet stallion, and not one to draw attention to himself when he doesn't need to; his place at the stable is to rotate the cows and on the off chance showcase his skills in a working cow class.

xxxxdefinitely frankie! he's my irl pony and i'm going to start showing him soon. i've been riding him for 7 years and although he can be a bit of a brat, he's brought me so far and i love him with all my heart. i thought it'd be wrong of me to not base my first custom on him after all we've been through together. he's taken me to new heights (quite literally, i first jumped 3'+ on him) and kept me grounded when i felt like i could just float off into space. he's the one stable thing in my life and he's always there to cheer me up when i feel a bit down. he's a cutie, a goofball, and the best horse anyone could ever ask for, even when he misbehaves. i rode him when i was a tiny lil child and i still do to this day. this boy is definitely my best friend <3

Competition: In terms of sentiment, I have a pair of ERRP horses that I've become far too invested in. It's not for any solid, concrete reason - merely a backbrain's-worth of lore about my stables and how I tie in every one of my characters. For example, a draft mule living in my stables is a close companion to my main-est main character, Addy, because she often lies in the shade under Adeline's favorite tree-perch.
Along those lines are Sherbert and Hélium. While the Euphorian retired racehorse project is a realistic species, I still very much ship them as gay horsies, and it makes me very happy. Sherbert is a quiet young gentleman, and Hélium is much more showy - I think of him as a circus horse, or something of the sort. He has a very strong frame, as benefits a horse of his discipline, but is always gentle to his special little man. Sherbert is a small, speedy-and-jumpy, yet also very elegant steeplechaser, reserved and polite and generally quiet

Unlike Heli & Shush-bert, Cirrus is a favorite for a rather different reason. Growing up, I really, really, really loved horses, but for a couple of different reasons, I could never ride, or be properly involved with them in any way. Instead, I made do by reading everything I could get my hands on about horses. I read everything, from the horse's perspective, from the human's, from the dog's. I devoured every book, every article, every documentary. I read and I read and I read. For all of that, however, there was one author's books I loved with a burning passion, more than anything else. Elyne Mitchell's The Silver Brumby is set in the high country of Australia, and is beautifully written, painting a stunning picture of the ridges and ravines, hoofprints and wombat tracks that make Australia the country it is, and I just loved every word of it. I read those books so many times, the pages getting thicker and thicker, that, even now, I can remember - and explain - the plot to every one of the 13+ books of the Silver Brumby universe. Throughout the series-es, there were a few characters, ones who stood out especially, and one of those was Cirrus. Cirrus, the original one, was the intelligent and wise leader of the Southern Brumbies, who first looked out for Baringa, the Silver Brumby's grandson and one of the best characters in the books. Without a doubt, I loved the first Cirrus, and the second Cirrus is all that, and more, as the mother of two of my favorite ERRPs, Whisper and Inyene (Cirrus the first was a key figure, in that his daughters, Moon and Dawn, were the beginnings of Baringa's herd and very important to the plotline of the later books) and just a generally fabulous horse

Competition: My favorite horse is the first EERP I ever got, Sam, and I'm still so happy and amazed with how he turned out. He was a fcfs and type of y/n competition. I was shaking the whole time I was putting his info in, I couldn't believe it when I was first. And his markings all came out so wonderful! He's still the head of my barn, he's a strong, resilient, honest stallion, that tends to be the quiet type at first. Until you get to know him and then he's telling dad jokes with a deadpan expression and making silly faces to get the foals and fillies to laugh and will spend all day playing tag with them because he's a big ole softie who wants everyone to feel loved. <3
