Name: Mari
Dream: 195 words
Mari yawned as she slowly drifted off, allowing sleep to take over. As she opened her eyes, she was in a whole new place. She looked at her body, she was see-through and intangible, just like a ghost. Perfect. As she wondered around the grassy plains, she came across a barn situated below a hill. As she got nearer, she heard the cries of a young collie.
Mari approached the sobbing figure of the canine but as she was about to ask her what happened, smoke filled her lungs. In a flash, the barn and pasture around her was up in flames. Oh you poor child. She calmed down and exhaled. As she opened her eyes, Mari was no longer surrounded by fire but had woken up in her stall.
In the adjacent stall, the collie jolted awake, tears brimming around her eyes. Mari calmed her down and slowly explained everything that happened before the collie slowly left.
Mari’s a dream psychic and she works with clients that are plagued by nightmares. She enters their dream and deduces the cause before giving them further consultations. You can definitely say that this was her dream job.

    Name: Salem
    Dream:

As the sun dips quietly over the ridge to give way to the moon's soft glow, an oversized maple tree casts a growing shadow across the ground before it melts into the darkening scenery surrounding it. Hanging from a low branch two ropes are tied to a length of weathered wood, swaying rhythmically with the breeze. The stars flicker like fireflies caught in a deep blue ocean through the branches of the tree. The wind tousles the leaves, creating a gentle white noise to fill the emptiness.

There is nothing particularly miraculous about Salem's dream. She thinks of it often at night, when she lies in bed waiting for sleep to consume her. It's a place where she takes herself when life feels a bit too heavy, when she needs a moment of peace. To her, this place is the essence of tranquility, always remaining the same, untouched by the suffering of the world. (154)

Name: Eve
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Dream: Although this might sound cheesy to some, Eve dreams of existing in a world where differences are celebrated. Ever since a young age, Eve always noticed that she stuck out like a sore thumb. She was easily spotted no matter where she was. She could never escape the eyes of others. If you asked Eve what she dreamed about a few years ago, she would have answered that she just wished she could fit in. However, she now realizes that the term “normal” is just a social construct. What even is normal? The term was just created by a person who wanted to be like everybody else. Eve loves standing out, but she dreams that others would share the same ideology as her. Life would not be fun or interesting if all people were exact replicas and copies of one another. Eve is proud to stand out—she just wishes she was celebrated for doing so, and for a person who was proud to stand out with her.

Name: Slumber
Dream: Slumber felt herself falling, so she held on tighter. Of course, not too tight as to accidentally wake herself, but just tight enough to retain consciousness. She had only done this thousands of times, but she still couldn't be too careful. She concentrated until she was sure she had succeeded and then continued to a count of one hundred for good measure. When Slumber did finally relent, she found herself to be right where she hoped: in the tedious world of a lucid dream.
"Where to tonight?" she wondered, her imagination still only painting a vision of darkness. As she asked this, though, she realized that her answer was in the question.
Without Slumber even noticing the change, she found herself floating amongst the night sky as if she herself were a star. When she got bored of this, she imagined a new world, and so it continued until the morning sun stole her from her dreamland. Of course, the memory of this dream would fade and be replaced by the reality of her boring life, but she would never forget how freeing it felt, or at least until the next night when she could do it all over again.

Dream:
The wings flared and Kirai quickly took off into the air with a noise of pure unfiltered joy, the wind rushed through her coat sending ripples through the little tuft on her head. The sun shone brightly and Kirai found there was nothing she'd want to change about her surroundings or the day. Having wings was the most amazing thing, even better than an apple that practically fell right off the tree when she grabbed it in her teeth. The cow used the thermals to gently soar with little to no effort other than the occasional beat of her wings, eyes closing in a feeling of sheer peace and enjoyment of the world around her

Moona has a special power- every time she falls asleep, she'll find herself in the dreams of others! She's simply a spectator and can't influence the dream, but she can see it all very clearly, and sometimes even sense the emotions of the person having the dream. It's all very perlexing, but Moona loves it! She's always very interested to see what people are dreaming about, which is why she spends most of her time asleep- She prefers the dream world to the real world, and even nightmares fascinate her.

Name: Gypsy
Dream:
Gypsy floated down, father and father as the light slowly disappeared. Her surroundings were deep blue turning to black. Which way was up? She only knew once she hit the sandy bottom. She stood up, somehow still aware in the cold, dark abyss. She sensed another presence, one of mystery she could not see. It was not there to harm her but rather protect her. From what? She was suddenly knocked off her feet as something passed in front of her and dragged the water against her. Gypsy frantically spun in circles, looking for something she knew she couldn't see. The mysterious presence returned and she could feel it pulling her. She didn't know where she was or what was down here, so she followed the only thing she knew. The presence would drift in and out, and Gypsy felt her heartbeat hasten whenever she lost the feeling of it's pull. It became stronger as she walked on, an increasing pressure slowed her down. She dragged her feet until the pressure was almost unbearable. She took her last step and the pressure ceased, the quiet static silenced, the darkness lifted... (190)
