intrusive thoughts can trigger anxiety but it's a v annoying kind of anxiety bc half the time the thoughts are nonsensical & have no logic to them but your body still reacts like something is wrong/going to happen and it's like,, someone's in there banging pots and pans together but it's. okay there buddy. stop banging your kitchen utensils together. everything is fine my friend please put them down and stop making such a racket you're gonna wake the dog
