They have a lofty goal to climb to the peak of every. single. mountain. Literally anything that can be argued as a mountain is fair game. It's likely that, if you climb a mountain yourself, you may just find the distinctive marks and scrapes of sharp claws, hooking frantically into any stone and foothold they could find.

Prompt: While not having wings could be a touchy subject, and one that someone in Bower’s position might consider awful he doesn’t let it get him down. In fact thanks to not having wings he’s able to do just that. Crawling through the ground, digging an endless maze of tunnels underground. Wings would only get in the way of all that! Besides, everyone expects you to come from above, nobody really expects you to come from below. What better way to set off pranks than from below the very ground others walk on? Plus it makes for great hiding places, you can simply dig a little cavern and store your hoard in it and nobody would ever find it. Probably. And it’s cool underground, Bowser doesn’t have to worry about being out in the hot sun all the time to get where he wants to go, not when all he has to do is dig under the dirt and travel through nice cool tunnels. It seems like it could be a lot of work, but he doesn’t mind much, keeps him in shape if he’s being perfectly honest! What better way to burn off all those calories from those delicious, wonderful sweet snacks then digging around in the dirt!

"Well, your great grandfather didn't have wings, so that could be why." His mother replied. "But I want wings, I want to fly like my friends, like my idols. I want to be like them. And I don't want to be bullied anymore."
"You should think of it as a good thing, Barnaby, not a bad thing that you're different." Her mother said as she continued to read her book.
Barnaby sighed, hoping he would get a better answer out of his mother. He thought about why he didn't have those beautiful wings that the others had day and night. He hoped someday he would have them. He hoped someday he wouldn't be made fun of for not having wings. His mother had wings, his father had wings, and even his younger sister had wings. He didn't care if being different was viewed as good, he wanted wings.
