Hiroto-Inu are a peaceful species, secluded to an island thought to be lost in the Caribbean. The island, Kokyū suru tochi, is a relatively small island. It is home to a mini volcano known as Faiābendā, which has been dormant for 1700 years, without showing any signs of becoming active again. The island itself is covered in a thick, luscious jungle and is bordered with pebble beaches, usually having gorgeous gems among the smooth sea rocks. The ground itself is far too hot for their sensitive nubs, causing them to build their nests in the canopy provided by the large trees. The island's vegetation is diverse and often can only be found in the island, this includes many rare breeds of flowers and the large trees they nest in
Hiroto-Inu are dictated by a singular Lord, known as an Omo. This Omo would usually rule alone but on occasion they will rule with a mate. If their Omo passes away from natural causes, the island will gather all suitable Hiroto-Inu of a young age to compete in the Kage no gantoretto, the gauntlet of shadows. Which is an obstacle course meant to test their strength but also their wit. The Victor is not who finishes first, but who displayed the best abilities.
Being a curious species, Hiroto-Inu are well in tune with nature, with most Koinu, pups, being taught about the world around them from a young age. By the time they become old enough to be valued members of society, they would have the ability to identify almost every creature, flower or gemstone in the island.
They're also very curious of stars, seeing the placement of certain stars as specific paths for the future of each Koinu
