- Only artists on the Marvelous Mawkinnoks staff list may create official Mawkinnoks.
- Please respect everyone. Do not be rude to anyone, especially the staff. Bullying or harassment will not be tolerated here.
- Do not beg, try to bribe, or otherwise harass artists regarding their adopts.
- Do not spam or double post. Take chats to private messages. Saying "mark" on any of the related threads is allowed.
- Do not mini-mod. Please let the staff handle any misbehavior or answer any questions posted. This is to ensure that misbehavior
is dealt with properly and questions are answered without any chance of a member giving the wrong answer by mistake.
- Do not steal. This includes things such as the lineart, any graphics used in the threads, or Mawkinnoks already owned by someone
else. Marvelous Mawkinnoks staff will not hesitate to report members if they are caught stealing.
- Members should not whine if they did not get the Mawkinnok they wanted or if there aren't any available. There will be more to try
for later, and if there haven't been adopts out in a while it just means that the artists are busy.
- Mawkinnoks may not be owned by more than one person at a time. This is to help deter drama among members.
- Mawkinnoks can be showcased on other websites but must always be credited to rainbowpanda101 and the artist who made the
design. If posting to another website, such as toyhouse or deviantart, always link back to the Marvelous Mawkinnoks main thread
so others can see where it came from.
PAYMENTS
- Breeding and customs require C$ payment to the artists. Members who are accepted by an artist for a breeding or custom must
send the payment in a ready to accept trade to the artist before the artist will begin working on the breeding or custom.
- Trade cancellations done without warning before the artist is finished with a breeding or custom will earn members a strike. If a
member needs to back out of a breeding or trade, they should contact the artist about it first. Do not cancel or try to edit a trade
before talking to the artist first.
ADOPTING, TRADING, & GIFTING
- Members can own an unlimited number of Mawkinnoks but should allow others to adopt if they have quite a few already. If staff
begin to notice a trend in certain people winning adopts too often, a monthly adoption limit will be added.
- Mawkinnoks can be traded or gifted away but cannot be sold for any type of currency, real or otherwise. There are no restrictions
on what Mawkinnoks can be traded for. Trade them for other Mawkinnoks, for art, other species that allow trading, etc.
- Members must post an update form in the main thread for a trade or gift to be made official.
- Members may choose to hold re-adoption competitions to adopt out any or all of the Mawkinnoks they own, at any time after
receiving them. Members must post an update form in the main thread after a re-adoption winner is decided or the re-adoption
will not be official.
MAWKINNOKS AS CHARACTERS
- Owners are able to give their Mawkinnoks any personalities, sexualities, or other characteristics that they want. However, anything
that could be classified as NSFW, controversial, offensive, or not child friendly should not be posted at all. Members will be asked to remove such details on their Mawkinnoks if they are too readily available to the public.
- Members cannot alter a Mawkinnok's Oekaki image but may be added to the Oekaki thread in order to save a Marvelous Mawkinnok to their gallery or to get a transparent/separate image.
- Alternate Universes (AU) are allowed and encouraged. Please respect the AU of others if they choose to go this route.
- Owners may roleplay their Mawkinnoks in any manner they please. However, any roleplays that could be classified as NSFW, controversial, offensive, or not child friendly should not be posted at all.
- Mawkinnoks cannot be fursonas. Please do not ask to make a Mawkinnok your fursona.
CUSTOMS
- To be able to get a custom, members will need to pay a Marvelous Mawkinnoks artist to make their custom.
- Customs must abide by the Traits section and must be created by a member of staff.
- There are no restrictions on how many Custom Mawkinnoks a person can have.
BREEDING
- To be able to get a breeding, members will need to pay a Marvelous Mawkinnoks artist to breed their Mawkinnoks.
- Mawkinnoks can have any gender identity or sexual preference, which is decided by whoever owns them.
- Any Mawkinnoks can breed together as long as they are not related. Incest is not allowed. Mawkinnoks that are too closely related
will not be allowed to breed.
- Mawkinnoks can produce 1 to 2 offspring, called fawns, at a time. The number of fawns in a brood will be determined by a random
number generator, with twins occurring naturally 10% of the time. All partner breedings will ensure 2 fawns so that both partners
get 1 fawn from their breeding.
- There are no restrictions on how many times Mawkinnoks can breed. They can mate for life or breed with a different Mawkinnok each time they breed. Whether a Mawkinnok mates for life or not is up to the owner.
- When requesting a breeding, the Mawkinnoks must be owned by the member(s) requesting the breeding.
- Members can only advertise for a breeding partner once per page in the nursery. Please take all breeding partner discussions to private message. Partner discussions in any of the threads will be considered spam.
- In partner breedings, both members must post a filled out form. Once the first partner posts, the second partner has to post their form or the request becomes invalid. The second partner to post must link to the first partner’s form.
- Partners must decide what will happen to the fawns produced from their breeding. If a fair decision cannot be made between the partners, they may request a Marvelous Mawkinnoks staff member to step in and help make the decision.
STAFF SPECIFIC
Artists
- All hired artists may participate in adopts, breedings, and customs if they want to but should focus mainly on whichever position they were hired for. Adopt artists should create at least 2 adopts per month. Nursery artists should create at least 2 breedings a month. And Custom artists should create at least 2 customs a month. Doing more than required is encouraged.
- All adopts, breedings, and customs must be made on the Oekaki.
- Artists will wait 48 hours after they post a first come, first serve Mawkinnok to declare a winner, just in case a COPPA player was first and is waiting for their post to be cleared by a moderator.
- All artists may make their own customs and may create either 2 Common OR 1 Uncommon OR 1 Rare Mawkinnoks each month. These customs may include any number of traits that are below or match the rarity they are making.
- All artists may make their own breedings. However, unless they are doing a partner breeding, they must have rainbowpanda101 roll the number of fawns for their breeding in order to keep things fair for everyone.
Moderators
- Moderators are expected to answer questions and reprimand rule breakers in any Marvelous Mawkinnoks related threads.
- Moderators can request 1 free Common custom Mawkinnok each month from one of the official Marvelous Mawkinnoks artists when they are available. If a Moderator wants a higher rarity Mawkinnok, they can combine 2 months to get 1 Uncommon or 3 months to get 1 Rare.
STRIKES / BANS
Marvelous Mawkinnoks has a three strikes policy. Members get three chances before being banned.
Strikes earned by rule breakers will have a time period. After a certain date, a strike will be removed.
However, if a member reaches three strikes before any of the strikes are removed, they will be banned.
If a member is banned for getting three strikes, they will be banned from Marvelous Mawkinnoks for a minimum of 3 months.
Strikes are for minor rule breaking. Stealing or other any larger rule breaking will get members banned permanently.
Please pay attention to the rules. We want everyone to be treated equally and have a nice time in this community!

XXXMawkinnoks (pronounced maw - kin - knocks) are an intelligent mammalian species with magical abilities that allow
them to levitate objects and interact with the world around them. They do not have their own voices and, similar to
parrots, will mimic the speech and sounds they hear around them in order to communicate. They can have a variety
of horn, ear, tail, and pupil shapes. Mutations such as wings or extra limbs sometimes occur in the species, as well.
ANATOMY
XXXMawkinnoks have oval-shaped heads with large eyes, thick necks, muscular bodies, and long, spindly legs. They can
have horns sprouting from their foreheads, which come in an array of shapes and sizes. Some may have multiple horns
along their snout. They can also have a variety of ears and tails, ranging from natural to unnatural shapes. Their pupils
can be in different shapes, both natural and unnatural.
ORIGIN
XXXOne day, many years ago, a meteorite hit the Earth. It wasn't a regular meteorite, though. When it was found by a
nearby farmer, he realized that what he had thought was just some space debris was actually some sort of space ship.
On board were the Mawkinnoks. Human scientists attempted to figure out where they had come from, but the only
answer they could ever get from the original Mawkinnoks was the name of the species and that their "Creator" had
saved them from certain death. Aerospace engineers attempted to utilize the technology on the Mawkinnoks's ship,
but the ship was too damaged from the Earth's atmosphere and its crash landing for them to get anything from it.
DIET
XXXMawkinnoks are carnivores. When hunting, they spit a sticky saliva that traps their prey so they cannot escape. Their
main diet in the wild is smaller species such as squirrels, rabbits, and birds. In captivity, they will eat any sort of meat
given to them by their owners. Mawkinnoks cannot thrive on fruits and vegetables. Though they are able to digest fruits
and vegetables, they cannot obtain any of the needed vitamins and nutrients they need to survive from them.
SOCIAL
XXXMawkinnoks are sociable pack mammals and will form families both in the wild and in domestic situations. Like humans,
every Mawkinnok is different both in physical appearance and in personality. No two Mawkinnoks are exactly the same. The
only way they communicate is by mimicking the speech and sounds they hear around them. After getting to know a particular
Mawkinnock, it becomes easier to understand exactly what their unique facial expressions and what each of their mimicked
sounds are supposed to mean.
MAGICAL ABILITIES
XXXMawkinnoks possess the ability to use "magic" and levitate objects and interact with the world around them. When using
their magic, whatever they are interacting with glows with a colorful aura. Every Mawkinnok has a uniquely colored aura.
Auras can be a single solid color or multiple colors. There is no known reason as to why a Mawkinnok has a certain color
for their magical aura. Scientists have not been able to figure out how Mawkinnoks use their magical abilities, either.

XXXWhen a Marvelous Mawkinnoks artist is interested in doing some breeding, they will post in the nursery thread that
they are open for breeding. Artists are allowed to either do first come, first serve slots or choose which breedings they
want to do from the ones posted during their opening. When an artist says they are open for breeding, simply fill out
and post the correct breeding form (found in the nursery) to be considered for a slot.
BREEDING PRICE
XXXIf you would like to breed your Mawkinnoks, you'll need to pay to do so. The base price for breeding is 100 C$. Some
artists may decide to charge more for their designs or charge based on the complexity of Mawkinnoks you're breeding. Pay
attention to what each artist says in their opening posts. If you don't, you may be declined a breeding slot by the artists.
LITTER SIZE
XXXMawkinnoks can produce 1 or 2 offspring, called fawns, at a time. The number of fawns in a litter will be determined
by a random number generator, with twins occurring naturally 10% of the time. If the generator gives a number between
1 and 10, there will be twins. All other numbers produce a single fawn. All partner breedings will ensure 2 fawns so that
both partners get a fawn from their breeding.
PARTNER BREEDING
XXXMost people will probably want to breed their own Mawkinnoks together, but partner breeding is also allowed. Partners
are two different people who are breeding their Mawkinnoks together. In partner breedings, both members must post a filled
out form. Once the first partner posts, the second partner has to post their form or the request becomes invalid. The second
partner to post must link to the first partner’s form.
OWNERSHIP OF FAWNS
XXXIf a breeding is done with only one breeder, all of the fawns produced from the breeding automatically go to that breeder.
They may decide to keep, trade, or gift their fawns. Re-adoptions can also be done if a breeder decides to do so.
XXXPartners must decide what will happen to the fawns produced from their breeding. Each fawn produced will go to one of
the partners. From there, they can choose to keep, trade, or gift their fawns. If a fair decision cannot be made between the
partners, they may request a Marvelous Mawkinnoks staff member to step in and help make the decision.
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
CUSTOM INFORMATION
HOW TO GET A CUSTOM
XXXWhen a Marvelous Mawkinnoks artist is interested in doing customs, they will post in the customs thread that they are
open for customs. Artists are allowed to either do first come, first serve slots or choose which customs they want to do
from the ones posted during their opening. When an artist says they are open for customs, simply fill out and post the
custom form (found in the customs thread) to be considered for a slot.
CUSTOM PRICE
XXXIf you would like a custom Mawkinnok, you'll need to pay for it. The base prices for customs are 100 C$ for Common,
200 C$ for Uncommon, and 300 C$ for Rare. Common customs can only have Basic or Common Traits. Uncommon customs
can only have Basic, Common, or Uncommon Traits. And Rare customs can have any Basic, Common, Uncommon, or Rare
traits. If you want a Mutation added to your custom, it costs 50 C$ per added Mutation. Some artists may decide to charge
more for their designs or charge based on the complexity of the request. Pay attention to what each artist says in their
opening posts. If you don't, you may be declined a custom slot by the artists.
REFERENCES
XXXCustom Mawkinnoks cannot be based on reference pictures or already pre-existing characters, whether commercial or
original. If you attempt to provide a pre-existing character to base your custom Mawkinnoks on, your request will be denied.
If there's a specific sort of expression, color, marking, etc. you are wanting, you may provide an image only for clarification.
Artists will not directly copy any photos provided.
REQUIREMENTS
XXXCustom Mawkinnoks must abide by the Traits section. You will get to choose the facial expression, scars, pupil shape, sclera
color, mane style, horn shape, ear shape, tail shape, mutations, and the color and design. If you have questions at any time or
have trouble understanding what traits are available, don't be afraid to talk to rainbowpanda101 and request some help!

Q: Can I be an artist or moderator?
A: Marvelous Mawkinnoks is going to need artists and moderators! Keep an eye on the Staff section.
Applications forms will appear there when we're open for new staff!
Q: How much is it to adopt a Mawkinnok?
A: All regular adoptable Mawkinnok will be free to adopt. They will appear as first come, first serve or as
various competitions, such as prompt or impress me. To adopt an available Mawkinnok, simply follow the
directions posted on the Mawkinnok's Oekaki thread to try and adopt them.
Q: How often can I adopt Mawkinnoks?
A: As of right now, there is no limit to how often you can adopt Mawkinnoks. Please allow others a chance
to adopt if you have quite a few already. If the Marvelous Mawkinnoks staff notice certain people are adopting
too often, this rule may change.
Q: How many Mawkinnoks can I own in total?
A: As of right now, there is no limit to how many Mawkinnoks you can own. Please allow others a chance to
adopt if you have quite a few already. If the Marvelous Mawkinnoks staff notice certain people are adopting
too many, this rule may change.
Q: What if I'm COPPA and want to adopt a FCFS Mawkinnok?
A: COPPA posts do not appear in the Oekaki section of the forums until a moderator checks them. To allow
COPPA players a chance at winning FCFS Mawkinnoks, all FCFS Mawkinnoks will not be awarded to a winner
until at least 48 hours after they are posted. If a COPPA player's post ends up being the first post and appears
in that time, they will be awarded the Mawkinnok. If a COPPA player's post does not appear within that time,
the Mawkinnok will be awarded to whoever's post is first. If a Mawkinnok has already been awarded to the
next person when a COPPA player's post appears, the winning decision will not be reversed unless the artist
did not adhere to the 48 hour wait time. Please keep this in mind if you are a COPPA player and want to try
out for FCFS Mawkinnoks.
Q: What if I don't want my Mawkinnoks anymore?
A: If you have any Mawkinnoks that you no longer want, you can put them up for re-adoption, trade them
away to someone else, or gift them to someone else. If none of these options appeal to you, you can private
message rainbowpanda101 and request your Mawkinnoks be put back up for adoption without your input.
Q: Can I sell/trade/gift my Mawkinnoks with others?
A: Yes! You can trade or gift your Mawkinnoks, but you cannot sell them for any type of currency, real or otherwise.
There are no restrictions on what Mawkinnoks can be traded for. Trade for other Mawkinnoks, for art, other species
that allow trading, etc. Members must post an update form in the main thread for a trade or gift to be made official.
Q: Can we get custom Mawkinnoks?
A: Yes! For a chance to get a custom, you will have to post the correct form in the customs thread when an
artist says they are open for customs. The base prices for customs are 100 C$ for Common, 200 C$ for Uncommon,
and 300 C$ for Rare. Common customs can only have Basic or Common Traits. Uncommon customs can only have
Basic, Common, or Uncommon Traits. And Rare customs can have any Basic, Common, Uncommon, or Rare traits.
Mutations added to a custom cost 50 C$ per Mutation. Some artists may decide to charge more for their designs or
charge based on the complexity of the custom requested. Payment is given to whichever artist accepts your request.
All customs must abide by the Traits list.
Q: Can we breed our Mawkinnoks?
A: Yes! Mawkinnoks can breed. It costs 100 C$ to breed your Mawkinnoks. For a chance to get a breeding slot, post
the correct form in the nursery when an artist says they are open for breeding. Mawkinnoks can produce 1 to 2
offspring, called fawns, at a time. The number of fawns in a litter will be determined by a random number
generator, with twins occurring naturally only 10% of the time. All partner breedings will ensure 2 fawns so that
both partners get a fawn from their breeding.
Q: Can only male and female Mawkinnoks breed together?
A: Any Mawkinnoks can breed together as long as they are not related since incest is not allowed. All you need is 2 Mawkinnoks, and you can breed them. Mawkinnoks can also have any gender identity or sexual preference, which is decided by whoever owns them.
Q: I'm looking for a breeding partner! Am I allowed to advertise that I am?
A: Yes! Members can advertise for a breeding partner once per page in the nursery. Please take all breeding
partner discussions to private message. Partner discussions in any of the threads will be considered spam.
Q: Can I edit my Mawkinnoks?
A: No. You cannot alter a Mawkinnok's Oekaki image, but you may be added to the Oekaki thread in order to
save a Mawkinnok to your gallery or to get a transparent/separate image.
Q: Is there a fan club for Marvelous Mawkinnoks?
A: A Fanclub thread will be posted for Marvelous Mawkinnoks eventually. Please do not post a Fanclub for
Marvelous Mawkinnoks, as we will be posting one at a later date when we're ready for it.
Q: How do I gain access to the Discord?
A: At the moment, we do not have a Discord set up for Marvelous Mawkinnoks. Once one has been established,
all you will need to do to gain access is private message any of the Marvelous Mawkinnoks staff and request an
invite link!
Q: I have a question that I don't want to ask in public. What should I do?
A: If you have a question related to Marvelous Mawkinnoks that you would rather not post publicly in the thread,
you are welcome to private message rainbowpanda101 at any time. Her PMs are always open, and she checks them
quite often so you will probably get a response within 1 to 3 days. However, if you do not get a response within 3
days, send your message again. Sometimes her inbox gets messy, so just keep trying until you get a response.
