picture this: it’s the middle of the night, you won’t hear a peep from the moorclan camp, except maybe a soft snore every once in awhile. every cat is dead asleep. and suddenly, you hear what sounds like a cat in the most excruciating pain you could ever imagine. what’s happening?! the cats jolt awake, looking around the camp with panicked expressions.
pinesap turns his head, smiling at his clanmates. “oh, sorry guys! did i wake you?”
a chorus of irritated groans is heard before the cats settle back into their nests.
he’s a good cat, he really is! but sometimes, everyone just wishes he would shut up!

Eagleplume is a cat who is loud in... pretty much everything he does. Singing is no exception.

While his voice isn’t the best, necessarily- not that any of the NorthClan cats really practice singing or anything- it’s not an unpleasant thing. He may hit wrong notes from time to time, but his enthusiasm and joy vibrates through every word. Eagleplume loves to sing- though his consistent humming and spontaneous composition of tunes aren’t always a popular habit.

Eagleplume does his best singing when on scouting duty. Out there with nothing except the wilderness to hear, he sings his loudest. This can draw scowls from his patrol mates- being so loud is sure to attract predators, you know- but more often than not they eventually join in with Eagleplume’s tunes. Loud though it is, and prone to being off-key, there’s something about his voice that makes it impossible to resist. The same cats that shoo him out of camp by day, teasing that they’ll all be deaf if he continues, welcome him home after his scouting by day. His rousing songs are a favorite with the kits- even if, thereafter, their mothers rebuke him for rising up their children.

It's not like the clan doesn't enjoy the tom being happy and wanting to express that, they just wish he would do it in another way...
"Momma, what is Stoneclaw fighting outside the camp? do we need to hide in the nursery?" Shatteredkit mewed, his brother, Brackenkit, hiding behind him, eyes wide in fear. The blue tom flicked his tail over his brother's shoulders in comfort and stood unmoving.

A soft purr came from the black she-cat as she licked behind Shatteredkit and Brackenkit's ears. "No need to worry little ones," she looked as the brush rustled and a red tom padded in the camp quickly receiving glares and quips from his clan members. The sounds of a dying bird finally dying off. The kits stood in bewilderment as they realized the horrible noises were from their own clan member.

It's pretty good. I mean, it's not the best, but it's not the worst either.
Pff. Even a dying HIPPO would have a better singing voice than Brackentumble's. It's UTTERLY DISGUSTING!!

But it's one of the most beautiful sounds you'd ever hear, it could move the most hardened warrior. Her voice flows like the Rushing River. Some find it strange and odd, but I could listen to it for an eternity. It's deep and husky when she sings, but it's so full of emotion and life. Dear Forestbound could entrance a mountain lion with her beautiful way with words, she could probably convince one to attack me with her gorgeous... voice..." Cougarstar trailed off, sitting up straight and tightly folding her thick tail over her paws. "Oh dear, did I talk too much? I am so sorry."
