Prompt: Looking over the pride, Kindra couldn't feel more proud. The pride had gathered on the sixth day after the festivities started. Everyone was looking forward to the next meal since the hunters had been trying their very best to catch everyone's favorites. Seeing the pride like this, not only buzzing with excitement but also willing to put in such effort to make everyone happy made him feel warm and happy.

Kindra himself had done his very best to check off the list of favorite foods. All hunters had been kept busy, after all with so many lions and so many different foods they had to work hard to get them all. Kindra himself had been given the very simple yet somehow very complex task to hun for two of the cubs. Apparently, Spiros' favorite food is trouts, while Soros' favorite were robins.

While getting the food shouldn't have been hard, really. it still somehow was. But, to Kindra it was all worth it when he watched the cubs excitedly eat their meals. Lucky for them, he had managed to stock up, burying some more food in the snow. He smiled, truely feeling satisfied for once.

What makes Jachai feel that way is something you might not expect if you didn't really know him. Something that doesn't come from his own gain or achievement, but rather what he can do for another.

Because of how he was raised, as well as his job and training, Jachai is a calm, level-headed, secretive sort of lion. Always trying to be calm and reserved, he doesn't often get feelings of warmth or fuzziness.
But one thing can make him feel a certain warmth, and that's watching Princess Nthanda and her siblings enjoying the holiday.

As a young lion he wanted to be a member of the Guard and he would watch the king's Guard as they went about their job. Hanging around the royal chambers he met Princess Nthanda who was a little younger than him. She was a bit lonely at the time and decided he'd be her friend. So the two struck up an unlikely friendship, kept secret from the king who'd surely not approve.
The closer they got and the more he was around her made Jachai decide he wanted to be a part of her personal guard.

So starting at a young age he trained for a long time until he finally achieved that.

He cares deeply for the princess and would protect her with his life. All he wants is for her to be happy. Unfortunately, she isn't often as happy as he would like her to be, having a hard life despite her rank and the privileges one might assume went along with it.

But seeing her truly happy, smiling and laughing without hiding or fearing what might happen, that is a sight that truly warms his heart. And as it happens, this is something that happens around the holidays. Getting to spend some time with her mother and siblings, just being a family and casting aside her rank and title for a while allow her to truly relax and enjoy herself.

As much as Jachai cares for her it is her happiness that matters most to him, so he does all he can to make the holidays a special time for her where she can let go of her fears and embrace the joy of the season. And in achieving that he feels the happiest and warmest he ever does.

Prompt: But of course, Faerose's favorite event in the Midwinter Gathering! Every year, the lions of Anthousai Vale group in the Gather Den (the largest of all the dens in the territory) for a giant sleepover!

Nothing get's this lion's heart feeling warm than gathering in the den with the entire pride, so they can all cuddle up in preparation for the longest night of the year!

Of course, it also gives him an excuse to cuddle with his mom again, but shhhh, don't tell the other lions...

Faerose is a social lion, after all, and when the whole pride comes together for the festivities, he gets to talk to everyone! Not to mention the festivities themselves!

Faerose loves them, from watching the cubs partake in the various races and challenges the Elders have put on this year to watching the Petal Fall, a special event where some of the petals from flowers from the previous spring season (after being dried out) are scattered around to pray for a fruitful spring, and a somewhat more mild winter.

It truly is an awe-inspiring event that Faerose can't get enough of!

Prompt:The thing that normally warms ol Ferd's soul in the holiday season is much like what warms this hearty chuckler's soul any other time of the year, when this old boy returns to the pride they wait in vigor for their "hero" the great and mighty Ferd to return from the hunt! On good days, the pride rejoices with him and on bad days he feels abandoned. But not all is lost, for even empty pawed or small morsels in tow this lion has a reason to return home everyday; For the young ones are his pride and joy. They come to greet him when there is nothing, they are enamored with his many stories of past hunts. But most of all despite his failures they want to grow up to be just like him and provide for their family; Even if they aren't very good at it. It means so much to him, to be able to retire to a den after a long harsh day of hunting and being able to relax with the cubs and lull himself off with stories of the past. During the Holiday's he tries to bring the biggest beast home with the other hunters, to have a nice feast with the pride. However if this feast is not up to par he may at times take their rare frozen fruit bait out to catch some especially juicy prey for the young ones to surprise them with, his heart swells with all the little tackles and so legend has it his mane grows two sizes every year on this day.

ooc: You might've asked, why does his mane grow? Is this a grinch reference? NOPE. Because he puffs his chest out with PRIDE. Puns.
