Quilas have haloes on their "heads" or "hearts", depending on the dominant
side of their brains! If they are logical and calculating, and work well with
numbers, their head is the focal point! If they lead with their heart, and are
extremely in touch with their emotions, as well as more creative, their heart
is the focal point! Each halo (Multiple can sometimes appear) is strung with
little symbols and reminders of the Quilas traits and personalities.

♕ Artemis’s halo is made of leaves and glows at the same time because she is a greek goddess. She is a greek goddess because she is the daughter of Zeus, and Artemis has the power of nature. The green on her paws are actually grass stains, her halo makes her fur stain more easily. At night, if she looks up at the stars her halo glows as brightly as the moon does, and the light breeze makes the grass sway, and when it does that her halo will glow an even brighter light green. The leaves are basically her soul, never has a leaf on her halo ever wilted, if it did she would be put in a terrible mood, her powers going wild. (124 words) ♕

why is their halo made of leaves?: when alastar was young, he found a small child alone in the woods. he stayed with her and showed her the way out, and as thanks for keeping her company, she wove a crown of leaves for him. the quila treasured the little girl's gift deeply; he discovered that his halo was made of leaves due to the help he would eventually give to a lost girl. since that encounter, he has stayed within the forest to aid any other lost souls that may wander in on accident.

Why is their halo made of leaves?: Hemlock had always been confused himself, as to why his halo was made of leaves, until he had become an adult, who surpassed the taboo idea of “headstrong” Quilas and taught himself to be empathetic toward nature. While sometimes he must still work on it, when he actually takes the time to relax and find peace within himself, Hemlock goes to nature for reassurance, finally feeling one with his intentional halo. He’s embarrassed by this concept, but is proud of himself for overcoming something that doesn’t come naturally to him.
