Pheasantflight has always been a dreamer. You'll often find her fixing up a den absentmindedly, mind elsewhere. The she cat will also lie awake at night, unable to sleep because of all the questions running through her head. Where does the water from Tsunamis come from? Have I ever seen a baby worm? Imagine if I could fly!

To her it's a mystery how any other cat can fall asleep so quickly or concentrate on tasks. There's just an endless amount of questions running through her head, and her train of thought is like a headless chicken.

Heaving a sigh, the fluffy cat shifted around, tucking her tail over her nose. I wish I was a squirrel, then I would always be warm. Pausing for a second, she mentally shook her head. No that's dumb, squirrels get eaten by hungry cats. I wish I was a bird though, there wings must be like blankets AND let them fly!

Suddenly it hit the she cat. There had to be a perfect creature out there she could be. Yet every animal that sprung to her mind had downsides; birds can't run well, dogs were smelly, and being a fox was just dumb, they're fox hearts, as the name suggests.

Eyes narrowing in frustration, Pheasantflight heaved a loud sigh. If I can't find a perfect animal then I'll just make my own! Catching her own attention, she latched onto the thought. Ooo, this could be fun! Okay, so, I'll have the warm, cozy squirrel tail. I definitely want bird wings, but something pretty, like a hawk! But I also want to be able to run fast, so maybe some nice deer legs? Oh, deer have hooves though, I wouldn't be able to make stuff then... Uhh, my front legs and body can be a cheetah! Everyone says they're fast and pretty, and have good claws. Right, what's left? Head. A bird? No, beaks don't look fun. Snake have cool fangs... But they're weird. Ah, wolf! They're like dogs, so they must have super sharp teeth, good for making. I know! A horse neck so I can reach things high up and make the camp wall even taller! Cool fluffy hair too! It would be even better with rabbit ears though, then I can here things from ages away.

Most importantly, I'll still have my crown, she reminded herself happily, heart warming at the idea. As a Protector, she was craft and loved to make little things for her mate, loving the way her eyes lit up in joy. The other she cat had worked tirelessly on this crown, telling her 'every princess needs a crown, but I'm sorry it's no good,' with a blush.

You know, she'd make a good creature too, we could chase each other and fly around together!

With a satisfied smile, Pheasantflight pictured the animal in her head. She pretended she was it, making up stories of what she'd do in her mind until she finally drifted off to a much needed sleep, content.

She always imagined her Cougar name would be Breeze. And that fuzzy tail of hers? Could become long and windy like a Cougar. Maybe even have a mane like LionClan. But unfortunately she has to settle for just living out this hope in her dreams; running with CougarClan, as a free runner... a free cat...

Amberpelt loves being a free roaming cat on most days, but when she dreams she is an eagle. Soaring above the clan, hunting rabbits and casing off larger predators without fear of dying at one blow to her body. Her large wings allowing her to carry extra weight to save her clanmates from danger, and her eyes allowing her to see things far away like they were only mere tail lengths away.
