July 3rd, 1937
Today I made friends with a lemur. Somehow my path strayed away from the Atlantic ocean, and I'm somewhere in Madagascar.

I'm really tired and sore after my crash, but the lemur taught me how to climb. It was weird climbing without boots, but it was easier to do so. My hind paws hurt now, but eventually, calluses will develop.

The lemur is really cute. I named him "zebra" because of the rings on his tail. It's not an accurate description of him, but I couldn't think of any other good names at the time. Besides, I've never owned a pet. I guess I've got to get used to it now since he's going to be stuck with me for as long as I'm here.

In all honesty, I don't mind being stranded alone on this island. I'm not completely alone -- the animals keep me company, and they're some good company too. I'm away from all the hustle and bustle of human life, especially the cities. It's nice to breathe fresh air.

Of course, this doesn't mean that I wouldn't ever want to be rescued. My place is in the air, and I don't have the equipment to fix "The Canary". My poor, beautiful yellow biplane. I hate to see it go to waste like this. It breaks my heart. She belongs in the sky, too. Sometimes I visit her just to see how she's doing and to make sure she isn't rusted yet.

Soon enough, I know I'll be rescued. I just don't know how...or how long.

"I don't know how, but they found me."

Pretty good right? No, I don't mean the band of that name. That's what I said on my first day on the job! I still can't believe I actually landed the lead role in a little horror ARPG film; I mean, it's nothing big or anything, but I was over the moon about three diary entries ago (I flipped back to check).

Well, I might as well divulge my little obsession here since my parents would no doubt commit me to a psych ward if they heard me raving about blood and guts. First off, when I arrived on set I had gotten a better picture of the plot and such, everyone knows how secretive casting can be. Before I go any further, I must give a tour of the place. It was ridiculous! Essentially, my character was trapped in a dungeon of sorts, rigged with cuffs and smears unknown to my nose. All fake of course! I'm not in any danger or anything, to anyone who reads this further. Anyways, it was impressive to say the least. They were sparing no expense in fooling the internet, those looked as real as any old torture chamber. Not that I'd be a great judge or anything.

Naturally I drifted towards the set designers, one in particular actually. He's pretty cute and I can really tell that everyone loves working here, but on set I couldn't help but feel like someone's watching me. That's a silly thing to think, though, since cameras are always pointed at me, right? But I don't know what to think. I love the job so far, but even a veteran horror fan like me is on edge. Maybe that's a good thing, I can't wait to see everyone's reaction to this! It'll revolutionize the horror scene! Maybe in no time I'll find stardom and acclaim. All I have to do is channel some of that fear into my acting and who knows?

Anyways, it's time for me to head off to "break a leg" tomorrow. That phrase has always annoyed me to no end! Why would I break a leg to succeed in acting? I haven't ever broken a bone in my body, believe it or not. Ah well, probably just one of those weird sayings. I should really get some sleep, Spirit out!

diary,

i could say that the weirdest thing happened to me today.
although it was quite unsettling.. it wouldn't be the weirdest.

i went to make myself some tea so i could settle down for the night since
i was having a hard time sleeping.

this is where everything seems to have went wrong.

i filled up my kettle with warm water and put it on my stove to heat up.
when i saw the steam rising out of the spout, i quickly turned it off and
picked up the kettle.

i acted too fast and ended up burning my hand but was still determined
to make tea.

stupidly of me, i have my salt and sugar right next to each other but i
only saw one and assumed it was sugar. i didn't bother to look. i basically
knew where everything was by hand since i'm always in a rush.

i laugh at myself now as i'm reading this.

i poured my water into my plain white mug and picked a random tea
bag. once again, i just wanted to sleep. once the tea was seeping out
of the bag, i took what i thought was sugar. but was horribly mistaken.

the bad thing is.
i like salt in my tea more than sugar.
