When she saw a fox in front of her, she feared for her life. When it noticed her, she let out the loudest scream her little mouth could make. It was just load enough for her brother to hear. He raced over, and jumped on top of the fox. Puddlehop was frozen in fear, and stared at him. He yelled for her to run, and she obliged. Her brother lost that fight. Nonetheless, she was more than happy to spend time with her friend. Though it had only been a few moons since Daybreak found her, the two were quick to become close. Dewdrop felt nothing but affection and gratitude for Daybreak, she couldn't thank her enough for everything she'd done for her.

"Hm?" Daybreak broke her stride and gave Dewdrop a curious look.
Embarrassed, Dewdrop's gaze fell to her paws, "Thanks. For everything. Really, you're the best."

When it came to Daybreak, reasons to feel gratitude seemed nearly endless to Dewdrop. Where could she even begin?

Though the moons before joining Valleyclan were a blur, she still remembered being alone. For most of her life, Dewdrop longed for the closeness she never really had. She had lived on her own for as long as she could remember and was by no means defenseless, but Dewdrop still felt so lonely. She did, of course, meet others, but they never stayed for long.

When she met Daybreak, Dewdrop wasn't in good shape. Leafbare made prey scarce and gave her a nasty bout of sickness. She stumbled across Daybreak while hunting, and the other molly was quick to feel concern for her. Dewdrop was more than surprised when Daybreak had offered her a place in Valleyclan, the small group of cats she was the leader of. At first, it was strange to be among so many other cats, but it wasn't long before she adapted to the clan's lifestyle. Soon enough, she had made friends with her clanmates, though Daybreak remained her closest.

Daybreak not only gave Dewdrop a strong friendship, but she gave her a home. A place where she felt like she belonged.
That's what Dewdrop is thankful for.
