Batlings, named after their uniquely shaped ears that resemble a Bats, are quite curious creatures.
Their short, tubby bodies are protected by a big layer of fluff that circles around their neck and under their chest.
While it is most common to find Batlings with their massive bat like ears, others have been spotted sporting, smaller much easier concealed ears.

The jewel on their head comes in various shapes and sizes and is always the same color as their eyes. It is thought that the jewel acts as a third eye of sorts...but who really knows?
Other than their physical attributes Batlings are gentle creatures who live off of insects and tend to enjoy their time in dark areas.

Traits and Rarities

Common
Pupil edits, Fur edits, Diamond shaped Jewel ,
Circle shaped Jewel , Long lion like tail , Short fluffy tail.

Uncommon
Hair edits, Heart Jewel shape, Triangle Jewel shape,
Square/Rectangular jewel shape , Custom tail edits, Minor ear changes, Short Horns.

Rare
Custom Jewel Shape , small Wings , No fur , Ear edits that are non batlike. Long Horns. Multiple Ears.

General Rules

▪ Batlings are a closed species, unless you are staff you are not allowed to make your own without a MYO.

▪ Batlings won through free contests are not allowed to be resold under any circumstances. However they can be gifted/traded freely.

▪ You may not use the base to make and sell designs, however you can take commissions to make designs for others with use of the proper MYO.

▪ Batlings may only be traded for other Batlings/MYO's. Same with items, when they are introduced.

▪ Batlings may not be Co-owned.

▪ If you wish to transfer the design out of species for any reason you must first get permission from the original artist.

▪ Please be mindful of all competition rules. No posting after the deadline and no excessive bumping or "good lucks" to try and get the adopt judged quicker.

▪ No mini modding, we have mods for a reason ! If you have a problem with anything at all feel free to message anyone on the staff.



Custom MYO's / Growths.

▪ A MYO may be made by anoyone as long as they follow the rules of the species.

▪ A list of edits must be posted on all Adopts/ Entries and Nursery Batlings.

▪ All MYO's, Growths must be approved by a staff member before they are considered real and must have a clear 'Fake' sign on it until it is.



Cooldowns/ Limits

▪ You may own an unlimited amount of Batlings, but are only allowed to win up to 2 every month. This does not count towards RU's. Nursery Batlings/Customs and re-adoptions/Gifts do not count towards your two a month.

▪ You must own your Batling for 1 month before reselling/trading can be done. Gifting can be done at any time as well as hosting your own re adoption.

▪ You may trade as often as you like per month, but must follow all the rules. If this gets out of hand new rules will be set in place with a limit to trading. All traded batlings fall under the 1 month rule.

▪ Batling children may be grown 3 weeks after they were psoted. Anyone can grow them but they must be accurate to the kit lines and must be approved by staff before it is considered to be real.



Staff Rules

▪ Artists may hold any type of competition they wish for their adopts. FCFS , Art prompts, Writing prompts etc.

▪ Artists have 1 month after an adopt has ended to judge otherwise I will take it into my own hands to judge it.

▪ Artists/Mods get 1 free uncommon MYO a month that is automatically logged at the beginning of each month. They may use 2 months worth of MYO's to upgrade it to Rare.

▪ Artists/Mods are allowed to sell their monthly MYO's for C$ or other offsite currency. (Whats accepted is still being decided)

▪ Artists may not sell Nursery slots but are allowed to take payment for MYO's and growths.
