Kamila was an independent skepluvi. She loved her scuffle and her owner yes, but she also seemed to like her alone time. At this exact moment that meant she seemed to be patrolling the perimeter of the scuffle’s territory (inspecting each cactus and rock with great care) when Ranea decided to call her over for her first ride.

Ranea was a bit apprehensive that she wouldn't take to the new feeling of her owner on her back, and the loss of control that would come with it. After double checking everything piece of tack was in place, she hopped into the saddle.

Kamila moved forward a couple of steps in confusion, before turning her head as much as possible and chattering at her owner in confusion. Ranea stroked her face gently and muttered soft words for a moment as the skepluvi shifted from foot to foot getting used to the new feeling.

Then she started off in the same direction she’d been going before she'd been called over to be tacked. Her gait was a little different to her other skepluvia but it was if anything a more smooth ride, less bobbing, distraction or hyperactive energy than the others. Slowly they wandered the dry land, stopping only occasionally to sniff at cactus before she continued her patrol. Proud at how well she was doing Ranea prompted her forward, she only had the warning of a cheeky trill and eye twinkle before the two were suddenly racing along, the sand flying behind them as they sped around.

Ranea couldn't help but laugh. She was allowed to decide the direction, but for now Kamila was choosing the speed, cheeky independent girl.
