He Started off quite nonchalant, But over time grew to be more suave, however his best friend, Edge (Edgina) Opened his mind the more they hung out, despite having appearance and abillity differences, he still participated in activities she had invited him to. Despite the fact she was younger than him by a couple months, he sitll considered her his mentor. Cariidan is a pretty straight forward guy, But that doesn't mean he doesn't posess humor, he spent most of his time together with Celus however, a canine who used ot have his face burried into books and studying. being friends for a long time allowed them to make various jokes and adventures. however one day upon deciding to show his love and appreciation to Celus for being friends he tackled the wolf into a hug, and having never first recieved one in such a way or at least without warning make him lushed and confused but accepted regardless.
Now the 2 are best friends.

Backstory:

Ragland was a loner from the moment he was born. The eldest out of a litter of six, he quickly proved his dominance over his siblings, and used his larger size not only to control his siblings, but also protect them. He threw his weight around during meal time consistently, but in defense of his youngest sister Adana, the runt of the litter. Ragland would hoard food and protect it viciously, then invite her to come eat her fill so that she could catch up to the five boys in size and strength. She was always his favorite sibling, and no matter where she went, Ragland was only one call away from his little sister.

When the six cubs finally came of age, everyone went their separate ways. Most of his brothers joined the Mounted Guard in the neighboring kingdom, except for one who joined a band of thieves and never heard from again. Adana met a young elf and she bit Ragland and her parents goodbye, and they set off on a great adventure to lands unknown. Ragland, while he was the biggest, strongest, and wisest of their children, was the last to leave the den. Hopes had been that he too would become a Mounted Guard, but he never did; he set off on his own journey, though it was one set in isolation and loneliness.

Ragland traveled for years, wandering the countryside with no rhyme or reason to his travels, completely self-sufficient. He had passed well into adulthood when he met Kali for the first time. He'd been travelling the Northern Plains under the cover of the night - something very odd for him, as he was not fond of darkness - when the sound of Dredge Coyotes caught his ears, followed closely by the sound of an elf running for their life. He leapt into action, throwing himself between the pack of vicious canids and the defenseless hunter. All it took was one ear-shattering roar to send the coyotes yelping back the way they came, and he chuckled deep in his chest. Yep, he still had it. From there, though, he and Kali formed a fast friendship. While initially it was only an agreement to take her to the next settlement a few days north, he quickly grew attached to the young elf, who reminded him of his sister. It took some encouragement and convincing, but eventually, Ragland agreed to help her on her own personal quest, and they've been inseparable ever since.
