"the worst day of my life was the day i died."
it was a normal day like every other and clan life was a bore, so i went hunting. the birds sang beautiful notes from the treetops, tantalizingly out of reach, and they knew it. i paused scenting the air, and detected mouse, or was it a rabbit? when i rounded the corner it was both. or their bodies at least. there, mere taillenghts away from me sat the largest hound i had ever seen. its back was turned. only later did i realize how foolish my mistake was. i stepped forward. i wanted those rabbits so bad. i had my sights set on a brown one, oblivious to the danger i was in. it was right there. i took another step. step, step, step. i reached out and just before i took it i risked a glance up. where. was. the. dog?!?! wham! i pounced on me. i was as good as dead, i just knew it. he was huge! i struggled. but. i. couldn't. breathe. then everything went dark...

i was in starclan! but then i wasn't. and i was alive! but i had no rabbit. i had no food. i had only shame. i was a fool. when i looked down i was standing in a pool of blood. dog blood. rabbit blood. my blood. and i wept. for my shame, for my blood, for the rabbit now gone to waste. now i stood, in a pool of blood, tears, and misery. though i was strong! i would not cry. i had fought a dog for starclan's sake! i had done it. so, i set of to hunt i real rabbit for my clan. and another for starclan.

the worst day of my life was the day i died. but it was also the day i came back. no more weeping. no more bleeding. starclan brought you back for a reason i thought, now make them proud!

Sometimes having a unique coat isn't the best thing that can happen to a cat...

For Ambergaze in particular during a singular humid day in GreenLeaf, this was especially true. And it all started when the rain came down suddenly while Ambergaze was off patrolling her clan's territory. Usually, Ambergaze would refuse to go out in the rain on hot and humid days during GreenLeaf because she had yet to find out how her fur would respond to the mixture of both. But sadly enough, he had no idea what the weather was going to be like for that day, so the rain took her completely by surprise. It was a light rain at first, nothing that worried her at first. But within a few minutes, the rain was coming down hard, soaking all of the cats in the patrol. It rained for the entirety of the patrol before finally letting up as soon as Ambergaze and the patrol returned back to camp. The she-cat huffed with frustration as she immediately went over to the shelter of the warriors den where she began to lick her wet fur thoroughly.

When Ambergaze finished cleaning her coat, she exited the warriors den and was immediately met with the humidity once again. It took her breath away for a moment since she wasn't expecting it considering that the shade of the den helped shade the humidity. It didn't occur to Ambergaze at the time that her fur was still soaked from the rainfall that came down earlier that day. So she sat in direct sunlight basking away.

It didn't take very long for Ambergaze's fur to start to... "poofen up" after that. The cats of the clan all began to notice and were giving worried glances to Ambergaze as if they were trying to ask her if she was alright. Ambergaze noticed these looks from her clanmates and stood up, walking over to look into a puddle that hat formed within the camp. As soon as she looked in, she yowled. Her precious fur! It was ruined! The mixture of rain and humidity had made her look like a giant cotton ball, which was her one true horror. And the worst part about it was that the immense amount of "poof" wasn't going down no matter how hard she tried to work with it. It was truly her worst nightmare. She had to live with her overly-poofy fur all day after she realized after an hour of grooming herself that her fur just wasn't going to cooperate with her. The looks she got from her clanmates all day long were... awful. All she wanted to do was hide away, but she couldn't.

The day that Ambergaze's wet fur mixed with humidity was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

Mottledpelt started as a clan cat, her time with her previous clan was a wonderful one. She spent her beginnings with her friends, and in all it seemed perfect. But Mottledpelt was always a curious cat, she always wants to know the answers to everything, and that usually meant breaking the rules. Breaking... The Warrior Code. Mottledpaw as an apprentice could almost always be found in other clans territories, her pelt so broken and unique that many a cat had passed her by, unable to see her. Her clan knew this, and her leader was an extremely strict warriors code clan cat. When he received word of her outings he demanded she stop. And she did, for a time. A while later she forgot about the demands of her leader and wandered again, this time even farther than most clans cats had gone. There were twolegs everywhere! She had only heard stories of the legendary creatures, and she crept closer to see what they were doing. A sharp pain in her back and a few moments later, Mottledpaw was dragged back into the woods. It was their leader! His ears were flat against his head as he continued to pull her back to camp. She was worried, and she knew she broke her promise and the warrior code, again. That night, the clan had a meeting and Mottledpaw was the hot topic of discussion. The next morning, she was told that she had been accused of trespassing on others territories, and trying to become a kittypet! She was brought before the whole clan, and forced to tell her story of why she was trying to get closer to the twolegs, and why she was in another clans territory to do so. Even though she begged and pleaded that she was not trying to leave the clan, her leader did not believe her. She was exiled to the north, and told to never come back.
