"Hey, what are y-" a voice says.

Tseny isn't proud of it but he yelps in surprise as he jerks around in his chair to look at the owner of said voice. A pretty woman stands there and smiles at him with a little wave despite his scowl.

"What?" he asks.

"I came over to ask if I could use the shade from your umbrella...but now I'm curious about what you're doing," she replies leaning forward to look at his journal, "You were really concentrating there."

His stern expression only softens slightly when she hands him the pencil he dropped with an apologetic look. He considers her now that she's closer and can tell why she chose to seek out some shade. The ruby tone to the skin is obvious. Tseny sighs slightly and gestures to the shaded sand next to his chair.

"Sure you can borrow some shade just don't distract me while I'm drawing," he says.

She plops down. "I'm Hera by the way."

He grunts an acknowledgement having turned his mind to sketching out the ship again.

Tseny is almost done when he realizes that she's hovering next to him watching. His pencil freezes on the page and he slowly moves the graphite tip away from the line he was making.

When he turns his head to look at her she grins, "You're good at that."

"Thanks," he replies. "Did you need something?"

"You should draw me next," she suggests.

"No." he snorts, "I don't do people."

She goes silent for a moment, "Well how about that house over there?"

He looks to where she's pointing considers eventually rolling his eyes. "Alright."

They spend the rest of the afternoon under that umbrella as she points out things for him to draw which he gamely pretends to dislike.

sunburn. one of the worst possible things that could happen to a kalon, and of course, she was sunburned now. she'd have to think of something to do. but what? she groaned into her arm as she lay on her bed, doing her best not to move so she wouldn't be in pain. she wasn't allowed to go outside, but that was fine. not like she wanted to anyways. she gently rolled over and dangled her legs off the edge of the bed. an idea popped into her head. she could finally fill out that vacation scrapbook. she hadn't had the time to since she'd been there, and there was truly no better time than now. with a smile, she got out of bed and applied some aloe to her burns, then sat down at the desk in her room with all her supplies. pictures, glitter, glue, scissors, brochures, map... well, that seemed like everything she needed. with a smile she began cutting, pasting, and bedazzling the different pages of her vacation scrapbook. she made a page for each place she visited and added their respective pictures and wrote down information about what she'd done in detail. a few hours later she was satisfied with her work. that was enough to fill the entire book. with a smile she closed the scrapbook and placed it into her bag. it'd go home with all the other scrapbooks she'd made. there was tons of them now. but she enjoyed it, and of course, it was the perfect thing to do on a day you can't go outside. she cleaned up the things before realizing she'd still be on the island for much longer. well. guess she'd have to buy more scrapbook things. also... maybe find an excuse to stay inside again.
