A figure emerged from the shadows, a frown upon their face.

"Change isn't necessarily a bad thing..." The figure paused mid-sentence and plopped down next to Koiba.

Koiba's green eyes stared intently at the figure as he waited for the silence to end.

The figure spoke again, this time their voice was softer, "You're quiet now. Much different than the cheerful creature I knew years ago. I miss the old you sometimes, but now you are much wiser. I guess the quiet tend to be wise. You think before you speak..."

Sighing, Koiba stared up at the sky.

"Caeni, I miss the old me, too. Although, I will say, my love of affection hasn't changed" Koiba said with a smile.

On that note, Caeni grabbed Koiba and gave him the biggest hug she could.
