Sunrise does not want to die. However, she has decided that there is only one way she would be happy with dying.

In The Lost Stars, all bowlcats that are part of the colony worship the stars. Falling stars are even more sacred to them. On this colony's border lies another colony, called The Last Regiment. Apparently The Last Regiment has a family, similar to the bloodline names of The Lost Stars, that is named after falling stars. Sunrise's colony has been trying to take these cats for their own ever since she was born. However, The Last Regiment tends to fight back, so sometimes bowlcats lose their lives.

If Sunrise is to die, she wants to die battling The Last Regiment in attempt to take the falling stars. Then, she decided, she would not be forgotten, and even though she had died, she had helped the colony.
