this is my anniversary adopt - holly! i joined staff a little
over a year ago, and it's been a wonderful journey since <33

i kind of went with the 'unicorn' aspect of this zodiac -
but what happened to their horn? tell me in 300 words (max)

The herbs Dyani once relied on to brew powerful potions have begun to wilt, and the sparkling creeks, whose water flows with such vigour and brilliance, have come to a standstill and grown murky. It was obvious that the Gods who watched over these lands were slowly dying, and as a result, Dyani’s home was losing its tranquillity; its soul. In order to restore life back into the home that so carefully shaped Dyani into the person he was, he would have to make an offering. His offering would have to be one made out of self-sacrifice, completely stripped of pride and that could match the value of a life. What better sacrifice for life, then one of another life.

The horn that sat atop his head, as though a trophy, had blessed Dyani with powers that had the capability to fulfill his any desire and need. Yet he hadn’t earned any such trophy and simply only existed and was granted with such an honour. The forest that Dyani resided in had been his home for decades now, and if given the choice between having something and being someone, the choice seemed obvious. If sacrificing his horn meant that power would be restored to the Gods that kept his home healthy, then Dyani would choose the life of a normal being a thousand times over.

she once lived in the forest and wandered as a unicorn, free to be a pure creature that knew no hate.

as the decades passed, the spread of kalons became more and more apparent. she particularly liked maidens, and she granted them their wildest dreams with her horn. when the other kalons heard about her power, they became greedy.

poachers and hunters set out to find her, scavenging every part of the forest. algyva had to hide inside a cave. this was the only place that a unicorn wasn't normally found, and none of the kalons thought to search there.

another decade passed, and algyva finally made her way out of the cave. no poachers and hunters were found, but another situation occurred. her once pure white coat, mane, and tail had turned gray. after being deficient of the sun's rays, she was weak.

she had barely stumbled out of the cave when a rare oddity appeared - a wizard. algyva was shocked, for she thought that they had come out of existence like she had. the wizard claimed that he could help her, but for a price. he could heal her, but she would lose her horn.

algyva hesitantly but gratefully agreed and allowed the wizard to cast a spell on her. her horn fell to the forest floor, completely white again. she glanced down at herself, but her body was still gray and...shaped differently. the wizard had also turned her into a kalon - one of the creatures she disliked the most. however, she had never experienced hate before so it was overwhelming.

due to this sudden and unfamiliar emotions, she ran deep into the forest. since then, algyva has been living in the forest. she climbs into the trees and becomes hard to see to the regular eye.

Once a high ruler of a kingdom, Rosemary sought to protect and care for her kingdom. She always made sure that the citizens of the kingdom were happy. Peace remained in the land, but not for long.
Rosemary soon turned stern, blinded by the power she had. She abused the power granted to her by setting strict rules that citizens did not enjoy, and would exile anyone from her kingdom if they dared broke the rules.
The citizens of the kingdom were not happy, and sought help to do something about their ruler. One citizen left and came back with a mage, who agreed to help them. They flooded into the castle, mage in lead, and went to Rosemary.
Rosemary soon realized her mistake at the last second. She pleaded for forgiveness, and the mage did, a bit anyway.
Life spared, the mage cast a curse on their horn for what she had done, removing her horn, and banished her from this kingdom.
Rosemary sighed, realizing that she should have been kinder, as the mage was when it spared her life. She was very lucky. Promising to be better from now on, she lives in the forest and sometimes travels, being kind to anyone she meets. One day she hopes she can return to her original home and apologize, as she had learned her lesson now. But for now, she lives in a cabin in the forest, thinking of how to return, even if it means not being a mighty ruler or getting her horn back.

Months later, Rosemary returned for forgiveness, nothing more. The town was a lot happier, and she remembered how she had failed to achieve the happiness for them. She set off to see the new rulers.
"I have come for forgiveness, nothing else. I was blind, and I hope you can give me a second chance, because I saw the mistakes I made. "Please, would you forgive me?"
The queen, king, and mage thought about it, and accepted her apology, but no horn or high rank returning.
"Thank you" She told them, and all the guilt was lifted off of her.
