Shadow Flitz (Singular; Shadow Flit) are a long bodies species that have long since lost their hind legs, tail, and eyes to the power of the shadow and have replaced them with mold-able wispy appendages. these large, friendly beasts have been recently tamed to be ridden by humans and anthros alike. They have large, wide front paws, long pointed ears, and short, smooth fur. They can be naturally found in dark caves, wetlands, or thick forests. however have also been spotted in pastures while hunting. They are carnivores- meaning they are only meant to eat meat and they often prey on birds, deer, rodents, and bats.

A first kid on the new lines! this darling was actually going to be inspired by the actual first flit here and be galaxy themed, but then I couldn't find a palette I liked and the space stuff wasn't working out, so I made all the mist black to start over with the colors and it looked really cool! so I stuck with it.
other then the black mist i realized i could just use the classic, flitz swatches and this kid can use a palette we are all familiar with! the rarity palette that had been with us for a huge number of adopts!



anyways to win this kid, it will be a naming contest!

The colours reminded me of those packets of funky-coloured dishwashing sponges and I thought it’d be a really cute (albeit quite random) name for this guy - also a good word to use to further develop his character, whether it be one who absorbs knowledge like a sponge or somebody who sponges off others. 🤔

Meaning: Blessed, as in divine/holy. Their halo makes them seem almost angelic, but the black seeping out of them contradicts that. I thought that a name like Blessed could make sense due to the god-like side of their appearance, but also because to contradict the demon-like side of their appearance. To me, they resemble a fallen angel; still looking good (the lighter colors), but there is ultimately something underneath that corrupts them (the shadows from their eyes + ears). Blessed could mean that they are on a higher and holier level than most, or it could be ironic and mean that they are cursed instead.
