What they do after hours:They go golfing with demons and sea creatures that live on the bottom of the ocean! They especially love doing it while hanging out with their best friend, Kraken (who is the boa world equivalent of the Kraken, but looks more like a dumbo octopus than a squid).

Poli exited a slick, golden plated door into a room bustling with business and familiar faces. Right as he had stepped foot into the place, a dumbo octopus-headed creature ran up to him and squeezed him harder than anyone had ever squeezed him before. "Poli! I'm so glad that you could make it! I thought that you'd never get off work today, seeing as a small civil war had been taking place in one of the regions in the Mainworld." Poli smiled and laughed, squeezing his best friend back, before they both let go of each other. "Yeah; but, hey! I always promise that I'll find some time to golf with you, Kraken, and that's what I'm determined to do once work's over for me." Excited, Kraken took Poli by the hand and began to walk him through the ginormous corridors, rooms, and hallways of the underground (or maybe even interdimensional) civilization. This place has always fascinated Poli: with its bright, flashing lights, its endless casinos, restaurants, hotels, statues, and other various attention grabbers, Poli wishes that he never had to leave this place once his after-hours golf games were over.
Walking past all of the city-like wonders and colors, the two began to enter an area of the "world" that seemed to be dedicated specifically exclusively for more relaxing activities; such as golf, spas, saunas, yoga, etc. Walking over to the seemingly endless golf field, Kraken stretched while looking at Poli, "You ready to lose this time, Poli'oli?" Poli smiled competitively and smirked, "You mean are
you ready to lose?" Stretching along with his friend, Poli laughed playfully, "I haven't lost a single game of golf to you since the grand war of the three connecting dimensions, I'm pretty sure that you're going down, kaʻu hoaaloha." Kraken punched Poli playfully and chirped, "Hey! You can never be too sure of the outcome, as you always say."
After speaking with each other a bit more, the two walked over to their favorite course out of the entire array to choose from: The Kraken's Ship. Despite the name, the course had nothing to do with Kraken, or his ship; it was just a fairly difficult course to play, as it was made for advanced golfers. Stepping up to the first hole, Kraken smiled, "Alright, I'll go first, since you went first last time. Deal?" Poli nodded in agreement, "Yeah! I promised last time, and I always keep my promise kaʻu hoaaloha!" Kraken laughed, "You and your Hawaiian, Poli. You've been calling me that for years upon years, and I still don't know what that means." Turning his scythe upside-down into a more golf-club-like stance, Poli smiled, "Kaʻu hoaaloha means "my friend"!" Putting a bright red tee down in the mossy, seaweed-like grass, Kraken smiled, "AW! Thanks, Poli, pffft! I thought that you had been secretly insulting me this entire time, haha!" Poli punched Kraken in the shoulder, playfully, "Hey! You might have to me, but I'm not you, silly goose." Retrieving a golf ball from seemingly thin air, Kraken placed it on the tee. Steadying their position, they began to keep their eye on the ball, tightening their grip on their golf club. After a brief moment of preparation, the dumbo octopus-headed friend swung his club and the golf ball went soaring. The game was on.

About:
Poli'oli is an extremely happy-go-lucky kind of boa, despite being exposed to countless deaths everyday, and having to take others souls to the afterlife. He takes great pride, interest, and passion in his job, and he finds it to be one of good, not evil. Death, to Poli, is a beautiful thing. It serves as the start of a new life, an eternal life, and one will be sent to a different place, depending on how they behaved during their mortal life.
Once a boa is ready to die, or is about to die, Poli comes to visit them. As he touches their hand, he can see everything the dying boa has ever done within their life. Depending on what Poli sees, he will bring them to the afterlife that is calling to them.

Poli has always been the reaper of the boas during the daytime. He was created along with another reaper by three afterlife guardians as a way to keep peace between the three realms of death: The Clouds, The Fire, and The Inbetween (the boa equivalents of Heaven, Hell, and purgatory). Once the day is over, Poli allows for the night reaper to begin their job. Poli has never met his fellow reaper, but he feels as though that could be a good thing, in a sense. If he and the night reaper were to meet, would they distract each other from doing their jobs? As much as Poli would love to meet them, he doesn't want to risk breaking the peace bond between the three realms of the afterlife.

Poli, along with the night reaper, was given the ability of free will in the sense that he can do as he pleases once his job is done for the day. Every night, the ocean seemed to call to Poli whenever his day shift of reaping was done; so, one night, he decided to explore the vast openness and mysteries that the monstrously deep body of water held within. He saw so many beautiful, interesting sea creatures, and he immediately fell in love. After his initial taste of ocean life, he began to visit the ocean again, every night, for years upon years afterwards, finding more and more mysterious and terrifyingly beautiful things. One night, Poli found Kraken, who soon introduced him to his hidden world, Ulwandle (Sea in Xhosa). Kraken introduced him to gambling, shopping, badminton, yoga, and almost everything that Ulwandle had to offer; but the activity that stood out most to Poli, the one that caught a spot in his heart as his second passion, was golf. Every night since, Poli has played golf with Kraken in the vast open golf courses of Ulwandle.
