Welcome to Otters of The Sea! The otters around here live near a sea/ocean, rivers, a forest, and mountains! The otters live in groups, and they eat primarily fish, but also mice. As an adult, they can grow to be 26-37 inches (2-3.10 feet), and at two months can be about 6 inches. Their litters can result in 1-5 pups, but pups can also be stillborn. Their fur colors consist of blacks, grays, whites, oranges, browns, and some yellows. Eyes can be blue, green, amber, orange/copper, and brown.

1. Follow all CS/Tess' Rules
2. The trading and/or gifting of otters must be posted on the archives so that they may be updated.
3. You may not sell your otter for real money.
4. Do not claim the species/lines as your own. The lines are by IceFlurry, with some editing by me, and the species idea is mine.
5. No begging staff for a free custom/MYO/adopt, as this will result in a 1 month ban.
6. 3 strikes/temporary bans result in a permanent ban and your otters will be re-adopted.
7. No begging me to become an artist/mod. You will get a 2 week ban.
8. You may not edit your Otter, but you may request the artist (if it is a custom) to do MINOR changes (e.g. small pattern fix, re-color eye). You may not request to have the entire colors, etc. changed. This (a request in big changes) will result in a 1 week ban from regular adopts, and a 3 week ban from customs.
9. I suggest making a thread to keep track of your otters.

There are a few ways to get an otter:
1. Runner Up/RU - This will grant you a free, semi-custom otter. You get to choose base color. The artist will choose markings, eye color, etc.
2. Honorable Mention/HM - 3 HM's can get you a semi custom. You get to choose base color. An artist will choose everything else
3. Adopts - Most adopts are free, and most consist of prompt writing or art. Enter, and if you're lucky, you'll win!
4. Customs/MYO's - Each artist will have their own customs prices, and some may accept art or DA, etc. MYO's can be bought here for 20 points each. Make sure to post on the MYO thread with proof of purchase so you may be added. MYO's must follow all fur and eye color rules, though unique patterns are allowed.

Rarities include Standard, Common, Odd, and Rare

Standard: No edits, Fish in mouth, Longer/Shorter tail
Common: Cat ears, No tail, Mouse in mouth
Odd: Halo (gold or silver), Wings (chibi, angel, and dragon/bat), ear tufts
Rare: Any edits not listed, custom lines

Rare otters may only be used in rare customs (artist customs, customs), event adopts, and MYOs (exclduing custom lines).
