Welcome to the Lotl Raptor Artist Search!
This will be an ongoing search, unless stated otherwise.

Rules for Entries:
- Do not make a cover!
- Do not remove the Fake sign
- Make as many as you'd like
- You may not color your own characters on these lines
- Try to have some with edits, some without!
- Read the rules and rarities before making any.
- You must make a minimum of 3 Lotls before being considered.
- If you do not want your design to be used for Nursery Artist Tryouts, please say so in the description!

What I'm looking for:
- Designs that show abilty to work with and without edits
- I don't want to see 5 rare or legendary adopts with only 1 standard adopt. Variety is good.
- Smooth edits (Lines are drawn with thickness 5 with the Pencil tool)
- Varied designs in markings, edits (or lack thereof), and colors!

I will contact you if I am interested in having you join the team as an artist, guest artist, and/or nursery artist!

Nursery Artists have different requirements than the regular artist search, however anyone can try out for one or the either, or both!

Artists trying out to do Nursery batches can do the following options to create a breeding as an example of their skills;

Option 1;
The artist may breed the mascot, Bubble Blue with another existing Lotl. Both Bubble Blue and the other Lotl must be linked in the posted design. The offspring is not official, and may not be used as a custom/myo!

Option 2;
The artist may breed two artist entries done by another person in the Artist Search. Link both Lotls in the posted design. The offspring is not official, and may not be used as a custom/myo! If the parents become official Lotls, and the owners want to breed them, they may opt to adopt that design. Only then will that design be official.

Option 3;
The artist, if they are trying out for both nursery and adopt artist, may create the minimum of 3 lotls as entries for being a regular adopt artist, and then breed them for the nursery entries. The parents still need to be linked in the description of the design, and cannot be used as a custom/myo!

Nursery Entry Requirements:
- Do not make a cover!
- Do not remove the Fake sign
- You may not color your own characters on these lines

- Read the rules and rarities before making any.
- Read and understand the Roller!
- You must make a minimum of 3 Lotls before being considered,
there may be multiple offspring from one breeding,
but all 3 may not be from the same breeding.
- You must show what traits were passed in the description of the entry.
- All breedings must have the parents need to have the parents
linked in the description of the design.
- You may not steal another's design.

What I'd like to see:
- Designs that show abilty to work with
and without edits
- Breedings between easy matches
and more difficult ones
- Smooth edits
(Lines are drawn with thickness 5 with the Pencil tool)
- Varied designs in markings, edits (or lack thereof), and colors!

Artist Rules:
- Artists should keep their rarities managed!
Keep it around for every 3 common adopts,
there's 1 uncommon.
Rare lotls may be made with permission from myself alone.

- Artists should post at least one adopt a month
to remain a permanent artist.

- You may not sell an adopt for C$ or points
without permission from myself.

- In the event of an adopt being sold for
currency, it will be split 70/30 with myself.
(myself getting the 30%)

- Adopts may not be sold or traded for USD.

- Please judge your comps in a timely manner!

- If there is an issue you have with another player
please contact me about the situation.

- All artists are subject to the general rules as well.

Guest Artist Rules
- GAs should keep their rarities managed!
Keep it around for every 3 common adopts,
there's 1 uncommon.
You may not make any lotls higher than uncommon.

- GAs need to post 3 adopts in a month for each
term they agree to.
Posting more adopts that are quality will raise your
chances of being taken as a long term artist.

- You may not sell an adopt for C$ or Points at all.

- Adopts may not be sold or traded for USD.

- Please judge your comps in a timely manner!

- If there is an issue you have with another player
please contact me about the situation.

- All GAs are subject to the general rules as well.

Rarities

1 set of unedited Dorsal Frills - 1 set of Frills - Any colors/coloration may be used - White sclera - frills match in color - expression edits - shaped pupils

Minor Dorsal frill edits - colored sclera - 1 set of frills may be added excluding the head (such as tip of tail, or on arms/legs) - short to medium length hair edits - semitransparent dorsal frills - small accessories

Extended dorsal frills - two sets of frills (dorsal + 1 set of edited on frills. Excludes the head frills) - long hair edits - glowing eyes - claws - teeth showing (when mouth is closed) - medium accessories

Missing dorsal frill - frills on both arms and legs - large accessories - glowing markings/body parts - nonfunctional wings

Extra limbs - functioning wings - entire body glowing - frills on arms, legs, and tail

The odds of each trait passing! Go onto Random.org with the numbers set to 1 to 100.

Standard: 100% chance of passing
RNG roll: 1-100 Passes

Common: 50% chance of passing
RNG roll: 1-50 Passes 51-100 Fails

Uncommon: 25% chance of passing
RNG roll: 1-25 Passes 26 -100 Fails

Rare: 15% chance of passing
RNG roll: 1-15 Passes 16 -100 Fails

Legendary 5% chance of passing
RNG roll: 1-5 Passes 6-100 Fails

There is a 30% chance that a Lotl will randomly mutate 1 common trait!
RNG roll: 1-30 Mutates 1-31 Fails

If Mutates then roll 1 - 6 (total number of common edits) to decide which trait is given! If the Lotl already possesses this trait, roll again.
