Thank you <3
Task 1: Unloading.
I could hear Beany neighing from a few hundred meters as the trailer was going closer. She was very nervous and surely did not enjoy being inside the trailer. Ive tried to let her out as soon as possible, so she can start accustomising and relax a bit outside of the metal box that unnerved her so much. She looked very relieved when she was allowed out in the pen!
Task 2: Taming.
Ive started her taming with offering her a safe place to stay and observe surroundings for a while. When she got used to the sounds and smells a bit, she started to reach out herself, and Ive praised her with treats and pats. She realised a human is a nice thing to have soon enough, and it’s only been a couple of days before she was following me everywhere.
Task 3: Introducing.
I decided to introduce her to Despair's herd, because he is my calmest and most social stallion and has a thing to quickly growing friendly with other grelifcents. Beany was nervous at first, keeping distance and backing away when someone tried to approach, but soon enough she relaxed and started feeling herself at home with her new buddies.
Task 4: Tamed.
Through every day exercises and lots of treats Ive managed to fully tame Beany. She completely lost all her wildlife habits and eagerly taken over new stable ones, like scratching at the stable door when she wanted attention. She’s a very sweet girl with a huge love to touches, and she enjoys just putting her head on your shoulder and staying that way for a while.
