after deciding to take a break from the tiresome activities of kamp, you spot this chipper fellow seated at one of tables within your cabin. before them rests a pile of letters and postcards upon the table's surface. they appear to be writing letters of some sort-- but to whom, you wonder?

this is going to be a writing competition! for the prompt, you must write and describe this kalon's letter to home from summer camp. who are they writing to? what does the letter say? are they enjoying their stay at kamp? or are they homesick?

and as a bonus requirement to everyone's forms...

the kalon offers you a seat at their table, and pushes a couple of papers your way. "the counselours here sure are working hard to keep everyone safe and happy!" they enthuse, "wouldn't it be a nice surprise if all us kampers sent them thank you cards?"

everyone must also write a compliment to at least one kalon staff member for this competition. the staff member doesn't have to be participating or running a booth in the event, but it is encouraged to choose one who is! you also must write at least one full sentence. (this portion won't affect anyone's chances at winning, but it is still required!)

no extras for this one, and there's no word limit/maximum/minimum for the prompt

⤷-@high noon - Red! Hi! I don't think we've spoken outside of the event but you seem really, really nice and cool to talk to! Your designs are really cool and you have some of my favorite kals. Your parts of the event have been my favorite (especially the trivia, I thought it was really fun. c:) and while I haven't had time to participate really in the daily prompts I do look at what the new ones are and they've all been really interesting and good. But mainly, I wanna thank you for putting so much work into helping make this event a success. <3 And for Finn, he seems like such a cute character and I just wanna hug him and hope he gets to hug all of the cryptids.
⤷-@watchdog. - Oof, what to say? You're up there with Red for me, such talented artists who I admire and designs that I love. I've only really spoken to you for the event but you've always been pleasant and quick to reply considering the number of people probably PMing you for the event. ⤷-@Every staff member - I just wanna thank the staff team as a whole, from Karm and Wicced to milkkittea, Owners to nursery artists, this community and species wouldn't be the same without all of your combined hard work. So thank you ♡, y'all don't get nearly the amount of gratitude that you all deserve for bringing such wonderful designs and such to the community. This is my first event and I've really, really enjoyed it so thank you for giving me (And others) something to look forward to every day. I really look forward to the future of Kalons and what it holds. <3
