Origins
Ribeiroia ondatrae. A scary word. A scary parasite as well. It mercilessly attacks frogs in their tadpole stage, causing their limb-creating blueprints to malfunction, leaving the adult frog with several, or missing limbs. This scary parasite has caused the fall of thousands of frog species (don't quote me on that). But a cure has arisen. E. Gli, both a cytologist and epidemiologist has invented Gli-Gel!
How it Works
This thick (usually) blue substance takes the place of the lost cells of the limbs of frogs affected with Ribeiroia ondatrae (but only the ones affected with the limb-loss side-affect; we haven't found a cure for extra limbs... yet). The gel is applied with an arm-shaped mold to the area where the missing limb should have been present, and in about 30 minutes or less, the Gli-Gel is dried and active. The frog can move this new limb in the most prominent joints just like a normal arm thanks to E. Gli's special stem cell formula, and it's opacity won't cause it to be easily spied by predators. Every frog released back is equipped with an efficient tracker to see how it does.
Why we Need You!
Sadly, Gli-Gel can't guarantee the success of these frogs out in the wild. Those unfortunate aren't so unfortunate though, since you're here! We don't like euthanization, but we do like you! (Haha get it? euthanization, you? No?) So help us take care of these frogs!
Rumors
Hmmm... seems like Gli hasn't been up to anything lately...
