favorite summertime snack:
dillon loves to eat pickles all year round. however, summer is a very special time of year for her, for in the next town over from hers, there's an annual pickle festival!! the first time she went, her curiosity was piqued by an ice cream cart. it seemed inconspicuous- but as she looked at the selection, she realized something was off. the ice cream they sold didn't come in chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry- it was all pickle flavoured!! there was every kind of pickle she could think of, transformed into something delightfully sweet and tangy. not only that, the frigidity was well appreciated by the overheated octopus- the layers of her dress were suffocating in the heat. now, every year, dillon brings her wallet and boards the train to go to the pickle festival. and every year, she wears a beautiful dress as she savours her favourite ephemeral summertime treat- pickle ice cream. you can ask tako as many times as you would like what her favourite thing to eat is, and she will always say the same thing.
ice cream.
you'd think it'd be obvious considering she's almost always holding her favourite type of ice cream, vanilla, in the summertime. she adores sitting in the shade wearing her favourite hat and chomping away at her delicious ice cream. but she can't bite it, as it hurts her teeth, since it's just so cold! she prefers to just lick around the cone until only the cone itself is left. but, as i formerly stated, if you sat down at a table with tako and asked her what her favourite dessert to eat in the summertime was… you’d be there for so long summertime would be over by the time tako was done being extremely enthusiastic about her favourite ice-cold treat. then, she’d get disappointed that summertime was over then be upset, but if you offered her a delicious, creamy ice cream then she’d get back into her normal, upbeat and enthusiastic state and instantly begin eating it. as i said, tako loves ice cream. if ice cream were a human, she’d date it.
