Reese-in her 60s-retired cop
Reese constantly gives off the wrong expression to others when one first meets her. While Reese can come off as cold and uncaring, and while she can be both of those things, she is a more prone to call you stupid for something than do anything else. She's a calm and collected person, striving to do her best no matter how small a task may be. Others may see her as selfish and rude because she can't stand being around others and rarely does anything for anyone other than her wife, kids and grandkids. Around her family while she's still that "top of the line strict momma" Reese is a lot more calm and loving and loves spending time with her kids when they're not all busy.
Her temper can get the better of her sometimes and she'll say words she doesn't mean to, but doesn't everyone? Reese is by no means perfect but she's trying and learning how to cope with her anger. She has a fierce distrust of getting close to new people and her best friend can assure that's the case. It took her months to even try and be friendly to him, and years more to completely trust him. Reese doesn't try to be this way, but most of her childhood was spend making friends and being told they were just pity friendships, or having fall outs with said friends.
In school Reese was never a girl that cared about make up, dresses, looking pretty or anything girly. She loved sports and was her school's star basketball player. Despite this she still got all flustered and still does when she's called pretty. Reese has found her peace in her wife Arabella and the family they've made, who she proposed to at a home made dinner after a few years of them dating. Committing was hard for Reese to do, because she didn't want her marriage to end up in them splitting because of some stupid reason. Still she did, and she will never regret her choice. She adores her wife and she adores her kids just as much and wouldn't trade them for the world.
Ryder-in his 30s or 40s-therapist and radio show host (only on sat/sun mornings)
Ryder is a cheerful Plumie who can annoy the sanity out of his family one minute and be the biggest support system in their life the next. His silly prank playing can get on anyone's nerves but it's always harmless pranks that are more bothersome than actually harmful, and if one of his pranks goes too far he's always quick to do whatever he can to make it up to the person.
Ryder will often tease others in a lighthearted and loving manner, but he never means anything bad by it. Ryder gained his mother Arabella's soft nature and forgiveness, as he never stays mad for too long and it's hard to make him angry. Ryder often neglects his own problems because he's so focused on helping his loved ones.
