There were too many ways to describe her favorite color but let her attempt to count the ways. It's the warm glow that breaks through the trees; it mottles the earth and warms patches of fur. It's the breathtaking awe as the world is bathed in it's light when the sun rears it's head over the horizon, giving life to the living flora and fauna it reigns over. It is the color of friendship, bright, vibrant, and playful. The color is the feeling of the sun as it tries its best to warm you on a cold winter's day. It's the heartfelt embrace of a friend on good days and bad. It's the hellish heat as it beats down on it's inescapable victims as well as the only appropriate refreshment on scorching summer days. Cypress loves this color with all her heart, despite how many others deem it ugly. But is it ugly when it bears the delicious berry they use for their banana splits? Is it ugly when clothing of this color is used to save lives? Sure it's hard to mix and match or pair with other colors without looking like 90's vaporwave but that in itself is quite fun. But as an accent, it's beauty can be found everywhere. With palettes of browns and reds, the first color to go as the sun sets in the west, play time at the beach. A cautionary color in both wildlife and in modern life. It's the smell of old books and newly bloomed flowers. To each their own, but for Cypress, this is her color.
