Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Aquamarine, the birthstone of March, has a rich color and has long been a symbol of youth, health and hope.
It's mesmerizing color ranges from pale to deep blue and are reminiscent of the sea.

s- shine (it's supposed to be sea weed)
c- longer fur, hair, tail, backmane
uc- ears, pupil (slits)
r- natural mutation (whiskers)

For this contest, I want to see a myth, either about this kalon or their own favorite myth to hear about! comics/animations are allowed.

People come far and wide to see Mozaic in China, they believe that their a descendant of a dragon. It's probably due to their aquatic colored fur that looks an awful lot like dragon scales and their long whiskers. While they don't really appreciate the viewings from his cave in a remote mountaintop with their owner, they don't dislike it either. While they have nothing to do with dragons, they let the tourist take pictures.

As the elders may say, there was once a young girl named Thálassa. She lived by the ocean, in the city of Athens with her family in a small cottage. Although her family was not the richest they were rich with health, hope, and youth. One day Thálassa was exploring the Athen’s sea, when she came upon a gem. The gem was an aquamarine, her family could be rich!. As she touched jewel, the sea in front of her parted. Poseidon rose from the waters in anger. “How dare you try to steal a treasure from my ocean just for your greedy needs, you already have everything you need!” Harshly he brought down his trident. Thálassa was pulled forward into the water and dragged under. Whispers rose from the lapping waves “you shall forever be youthful, and never die. But you may never leave the sea.” The people of Athens continue to tell the legend, and maybe if you are lucky enough. You will see young Thálassa staring out from the water, an aquamarine clamped in her jaws, looking for her family.
