A poem about the stars:

I dipped my hands into the stars
Like a pools ripples
Bathing in the starlight

The stars danced around me
And I was engulfed in the moons and sun
As they fill my eyes

I become apart of the dancing movements
More precious than the moons of Jupiter
And warmer as the Sun

I am the spaceman who swam with the stars
And I am one of them now.

Go from me, summer friends, and tarry not:
I am no summer friend, but wintry cold,
A silly sheep benighted from the fold,
A sluggard with a thorn-choked garden plot.

Lest you with me should shiver on the wold,
Athirst and hungering on a barren spot.
For I have hedged me with a thorny hedge,
I live alone, I look to die alone:

The stars are beautiful.
The moon is bright.
I lay awake,
Watching them shine their light.
I whisper a wish
a dream to come true
just like in the stories
i know just what to do
I smile wide
as i open my eyes
But i look up
and my smile dies
"What happened to the promise?
What happened to my dream?"
the stars are gone,
left only cold in my bloodstream.
They ran away
My wish in their arms
of coarse it didn't come true
it was only part of my heart.

A lesson i learned long ago,
Don't trust the stars
They'll only take your dreams,
and leave them on mars.
