Marigold is one bad-ass mare, who is very hard to scare. The lesbian mare
has a unbreakable loyalty to her mate Rose. Although not easily scared, she
has a huge fear of chickens. This is not a good thing since there are a lot of
chickens a Redwood Stables. She is very outgoing, and always up to a
challenge, very much a believer in the saying, "What doesn't kill you
makes you stronger". This can be bad since she will accept any challenge
even if it risks her life. Rigo enjoys it when Amny the owner of RS takes,
her into the arena bareback and practices her mounted archery. She likes
that Amny has so much trust in her, since the mare could move and through
the arrow off balance. Rigo is not a mare you would want to make an enemy
of, since she would not be hesitant to kick or bite you if you made her mad.
She also has a strong love of cows, and hates it when people mistreat them.

Marigold was born on a small ranch and when she was only a few months old, a man and woman came bought Rigo
for their 13 year old daughter. Bella was super nice to her and knew a lot about horses, but her parents were clueless
about horses. She loved living with Bella for those wonderful 3.5 years, it was amazing. One day though, Bella came
sobbing to her mare, and told her that because of money issues they had to sell her. Bella told Marigold that even
though she had tried telling her parents to find a good home and not action off the mare, her dad said it would be easier
and put it down firm. The next day they took Rigo to the action and had to go into the audience to watch. When Rigo came
into the ring, no one seemed to want her accept the kill buyers and her fate looked sealed. Bella started sobbing, but then
a young woman with light blue short hair ran up to the announcer and offered £1000 pound instead of £700. He agreed and
gave her Rigo. Rigo thought that the woman looked kind, and had a horse smell to her. Bella raced down to her mare to
bid one last farewell, and found out that Amny, the woman, owned a rescue barn nearby and that Bella could come and
see Marigold sometimes. Both Amny, Rigo, and Bella where happy to find the mare a good home,

Rose and Marigold have a very strong bond. As much as Rose likes to me the best, there are
times when she will say that Rigo is better than her. They are almost always together, but there

Pumpkins, and Halloween. She loves the sweet juicy taste of
pumpkins. They are just so crunchy and moist. Halloween she
loves because its a time for her and friends to dress up and try
to scare others. RS often hosts small Halloween parties and
all the horses get dressed up and meet horses in costume from
neighboring stables. Halloween also means pumpkins, which
she loves.

Hey there, I'm Starwindrider and today we are going to interview this cute Tolter here by the name of Aki.
So, hello Aki. Today's interview may take a while, would you bear with it?
Absolutely!

Wonderful, Aki. Now, could you tell me your basic information?
Well, my name is Aki, which means "autumn" in Japanese. If you want to be more formal, you can call me Autumn Spirit, which is my show name. I'm a four-year-old mare. Oh and by the way, I'm straight, thank you very much, but I accept the LGBT community, so don't worry. I want my halter to be a red to yellow gradient, which is a really great autumn color!

What's your personality?
Me? I'm funny and cheery, and I love making someone else's day! I enjoy adventures and trying out new things too. I guess I can be called kind, caring and selfless, I would stop at nothing to help a friend in any way. I'm an open book, and I don't hide secrets from my best friends, as I think that it is disloyal, and loyalty means a lot to me. I'm quick-tempered and gets over grudges very easily, if I have any grudges at all.. I'm a daredevil too, although I may do things on impulse at times, hehe. I'm also a hard and diligent worker!

Wow, looks like you're a real fun friend to be with! I know you love autumn. What's your favourite part of autumn, then?
Wow that's hard to decide. But I have to say, my favourite part is playing in leaf piles and eating pumpkin pie with my friends and family! Jumping into leaf piles are just so fun. The higher the place you leap from, the greater the thrill! What I do is I gather a pile under a good old tree, clamber onto the tree as far as I can go, and whoopee doopee! Here I come! Doesn't it sound fun? The warm and sweet pumpkin pie is the best kind of treat on a cold autumn day, with the wind howling outside, but I'm all cozy in front of the fire and munching on the pie, and the pie warms me inside out while the flames warm me outside in, and cold is a long way away...Sigh...How I love that!

Sounds great, Aki. You said you were a hard and diligent worker, and records tell me you have won quite a number of competitions. Tell me, what does reward mean to you?
Hmm. The definition of reward: a thing given in recognition of service, effort, or achievement. To many people, "reward" may mean winning a prestigious competition they have been training hard for. But to me, well, a reward means the process of the competition, not the results. To me, the feeling of adrenaline and the wind in my face as I am soaring over the ground...The thrill of pushing myself beyond what I thought I could do...That is what reward means to me.

Nah, it's nothing. Maybe I'm just mature or maybe my mind ticks in a different way.

what is your theme?
I've never really given that a thought...I really don't know. Maybe...Little April Shower from Bambi? I know that sounds really weird, but it's about Bambi overcoming his fear of rainstorms and eventually loving them. For me, I think that my life, a portion of it, is about fearlessly finding fears and overcoming them.

Talking about fears, what are your fears, Aki?
I have a fear of insects. Standing on the arena ground and spying a spider striding across the sawdust will send me bolting. It's troublesome, both to me and to overcoming it. Any kind of insect scares me. Cockroach, spider, grasshopper, bee; you name it, I'll run off. Please. No insects. I don't suppose you have any insects around the paddocks here. No? Good.

What are your likes and dislikes?
I like...eating pumpkin pie, going for a swim in the stream, and galloping across the paddock . I enjoy doing these activities. I don't like bullies who especially tease me about my fear of creepy-crawlies, and hot days too. I hate bullies. And hot days? Bless me if I won't start melting right there and then! I'll start sweating profusely and I'll see heat waves literally rising out from the ground. And I'll feel heat around me too. No, I definitely don't like hot days.

Oh, oh! Firstly, the location. The island your stables are located on is small and cozy. It has water surrounding it, so a dip in the cool sea would be the best remedy for hot days! Secondly, the occupants. I've heard the horses at Starrfyre, although a small number, are welcoming and friendly. I'll be able to be happy and make many friends there. Lastly, the living standards. Your stables provide all horses with warm blankets in the cooler months, and bring them for swims in the hotter months. They also get special feed tailored to their needs, which sounds really cool! I'll look forward to joining Starrfyre if I get chosen!
